A federal court has ruled in favor of free speech in a fight that was created by an attack by the city of Louisville, Kentucky, on a local photographer.
The city had decided to impose its religious viewpoint and ordered the photographer, Chelsey Nelson, to use her artistic talents to promote anti-Christian same-sex wedding ceremonies "if she photographers and blogs about weddings between one man and one woman," the biblical standard.
Leftist city officials even had tried to order her to be silent on such issues, claiming that they could forbid her and her studio from explaining to clients and potential clients her beliefs.

It’ll turn when the victims get reimbursement for their time and expense of dealing w/the court plus punitive damages.
People need to continue to resist onerous government intrusion.
Louisville has how many no go places where it is dangerous for travel? The city, therefore, worries about a damn camera woman.
When the state lost that fight at the Supreme Court, the justices scolded the leftist state for its "hostility" to Christians. Subsequently, its taxpayers have been forced to hand over millions of dollars to cover the damages from the state's losing cases.
Therein lies the problem. The left uses lawfare against the ones they hate knowing that if they win, the victim has to pay, but if the left loses, the taxpayers have to pay. As long as the leftist leaders aren't the ones paying the price, they're going to keep doing what they do against Christians and anyone else they hate.
Obergefell created this. And we see the consequence of bad decisions.
Bears repeating!
That is indeed a trenchant observation, Tell It Right. Spot on! And a huge problem that the Left has taken advantage of for decades.
When I hear someone say that we need "tort reform" this kind of thing is exactly what enters my mind.
Excellent, excellent post, FRiend. Well done.
And Lawrence created Obergefell. It's a domino effect, by design.
And Romer (in Colorado too) started it by giving special rights to perverts.
When Lawrence came down, it created a special, "protected" (by the state) class of sexual behavior, which we've NEVER seen before in this country. The state was then obligated to go to bat for the deviants, who then became the put-upon plaintiffs, not the defendants.
Exactly right. And this can even be traced back to the Griswold and Eisenstadt decisions of the early 70's which liberalized contraception across the nation, aggravating the already serious wildfire of the sexual revolution.

Excellent news!
What you’re describing is anarcho-tyranny. It’s a very purposeful inversion of justice.
It’s all about not punishing the criminal class (social justice) but enforcing every obscure law or regulation on middle and working class people.
The purpose is to ensure people in the middle cannot challenge the power of the people in charge, whether through persuasion or running for office. In a nutshell terrorize them into submission.
Britain is a master class in anarcho-tyranny as are many US cities.
It’s pretty much on par with everything the city does.
Go to wdrb.com for about a week and see how many people get murdered every day. Almost all of them are on the west side of town, cough cough.
But the Westside crime is moving East and the libtards in the highlands are not happy about it. And yet I doubt that many of them have a clue as to how it’s happened. Louisville is full of just be kind and coexist yard signs.
Punitive damages from the officials pockets and assets, not the taxpayers.
Which is why I laugh at Jane Fonda and her new campaign for free speech. Yeah sure you are for free speech.
Louisville is apparently the armpit of the state (which every state has; Texas has Austin) just like every other red state.
I looked it up on Dave Leip’s Election Atlas site. Two counties in the entire state are blue as of the last election.
