A conservative activist group’s unannounced visit to Tennessee State University ignited a debate over free speech and safety on campus.
Members of Fearless Debates said they had come to TSU to “create conversation and discourse.” The NAACP Nashville chapter countered that the group’s goal was to provoke and demean students at the historically Black university....
Fearless Debates described itself as part of the “Fearless Tour,” a grassroots effort inspired by the late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. On its website, the group said it was “bringing honest conversation and open debate back to America’s college campuses.”...
The NAACP Nashville chapter called the incident “an intentional effort to antagonize, disrupt and instill fear in a space meant to be safe and supportive for Black students.” The group added, “We are both infuriated and alarmed....

Never heard of the group Fearless Debates... I am guessing they aren’t actually linked to Turning Point or endorsed by Turning Point and didn’t ask do any homework such as asking Turning Point for advice on dealing with campus rules and college administration, but are a copycat group using the recent assassination to generate publicity?
Either way, the Fearless Debates group should have gone through the formal process of asking for a time and location to set up their discussions on campus.

If anyone watched the videos, that wasn’t fear. But nonetheless, Fearless Debates, should expect them to claim victimhood. They are at a Marxist school, after all.
Based on what I saw, the TN legislature should defund the school. The school’s cops were allowing assault and battery on these people. The cops were standing around doing nothing.
They could be a psyops group meant to bring disrepute amongst conservatives by being provocative.
” The NAACP Nashville chapter “
Sorry, is this the College Administration acting after due diligence regarding the group?
While not condoning the so-called “debate” group for it’s militant intrusion, I’d rather see the Tennessee HBCU institution stand on its own legs here.
It’s called Victimhood. Without it, they have no excuse.
Probably an off-shoot of “Patriot Front. “ j/k
By safe space they mean, safe from any differing view points.
Equal rights, Can we please get a safe and supportive space for white people? Sorry, BLACK attorneys sued because safe spaces for white people was not equal.
Truth be told, have you every been in a black Walmart? A black cvs? And compared it to a white one?
The day they were open, they were the same inside. after a year why are they completely different? Why does one have cages around haircare products and deodorant? Even the cheap ear buds and head phones are locked up?
Bring them and similar groups back with massive police security. Arrest anyone who attempts to disrupt. Expel any students who do. If the University doesn’t want to, force them. If they resist, fire everybody in charge and appoint a new school president and board who will comply.
Honestly......more brute force, legal consequences and firings/expulsions is the answer to any violent attempts to prevent free speech on college campuses.
I caught a clip of some fellow from that group doing a selfie video walking through the campus with a MAGA hat and he was being escorted by some police officers (or security guards, not sure) and being hounded and verbally attacked by quite a crowd following him the whole way.
“Fearless” was not the look he had on his face. If it wasn’t fear than it was definitely apprehension and self-doubt. Picture Jane Goodall on her very first encounter with the band...

Please may we have our 1A rights?
Talking shouldn’t require some permit.

You can’t just go on to a college and start holding some event.
I see that the NAACP is adopting the Democrat Party’s methods sans the white sheets.
NAACP: The KKK couldn’t have done a better job keeping blacks on the ‘RAT plantation.
Translation: in a space meant to keep black students from hearing different opinions. Preventing other voices is keeping them "safe."
When are blacks as a group going to shake off the shackles of condescending leftists?
The NAACP doesn’t want honest and open debate. Just more of your tax money.
The NAACP is a racist Black organization that is detrimental to America
