What closed? The article didnt say.
Yeh- its not empty- its September, always a down month for Disney...
The fact Disney costs an arm and a leg further hurts the cause...
Too much support for sexual perversion and people are voting with their feet.
Sigh. It used to be such a fun place to go.
Disney destroyed its brand.
The other issue is, tourism is not dead in Florida because of smaller crowds at Disney- the people are all going to Universal...
That guy that posted on X he dropped $1,400 in one day there probably didn’t help.
People are realizing it’s too damned expensive to stand in line in 95°+ heat for 3 minute rides and a $14 turkey leg.
FAFO
My favorite place when I vacationed there was always Sea World.

I went to Orlando with my family 10 years ago, with the full intention of going to Disney, until I found out what it cost. It was well over $100/day each, plus the incredibly exorbitant prices for not so great fast food. I took a pass. We ended up going to Universal Studios, just a few miles down the road, and it was a much more reasonable $65 a day, plus food. Since there were five of us, I saved close to $200 per day - and we all had a fantastic time. That’s how businesses destroy themselves, by not providing the extra value for ultra premium prices.

I’m glad I was able to go as a kid when it was new in the 70s.
All US, Mexico, and Canada Six Flags parks access can be had for practically nothing in comparison, and you can have unlimited drinks from Coke Freestyle machines in various places in the parks.
Disney will peak during GAY WEEK.
Waaay down in the article:
<>CBS reported last month that tourism is actually increasing in Florida, even though Canadian visitors have decreased. Visit Florida previously estimated that 34.435 million people traveled to Florida from April 1 to June 30, an increase from 34.279 million people during the same period last year.<>
Disney World visitation is not a proxy for Florida tourism.
My wife is a disneyworld fan but good lord the prices have skyrocketed. They are gouging levels now and we certainly aren’t going there ever again at these prices. Maybe if/when grandkids are around but really, a family having to spend thousands just for the tickets? Insane!
Universal is a better deal and more fun. They also just opened a third park Epic World, so they are getting even more business.
Disney is just too fricking high.
SeaWorld was terrible the last time I was there with the family. But that was right after Covid restrictions were lifted.
Too many attractions and rides were closed.
The highlight was the family petting the dolphin. That was a good experience.
It’s always the inevitable when the bean-counters start running companies.
