Stephen A. Smith on Sunday dismissed news about former Vice President Kamala Harris’s upcoming book, saying, “Who cares what she has to say?”
Harris’s book on her 2024 presidential campaign, “107 Days,” will be released on Tuesday.
“Well, there’s nothing to elaborate about,” the ESPN commentator said on ABC’s “This Week.” “Who cares what she has to say at this particular moment in time? I hope the book is successful.”
Harris, who became the Democratic nominee after former President Biden dropped out of the presidential race in July 2024, called her boss’s decision to run for reelection “reckless” in an excerpt published in The Atlantic. After Biden’s halting debate performance against President Trump in June 2024, though, Harris publicly backed the former president.
Smith criticized Harris for not speaking up regarding Biden’s physical and mental decline earlier, noting that a Democratic primary would have forced her to “compete” for the nomination. He said the former vice president went into “protective mode” and prioritized her loyalty to Biden above all else.
In the book, Harris argued that she was in the “worst position” to make the case to Biden that he should not run.
“I knew it would come off to him as incredibly self-serving if I advised him not to run,” Harris wrote. “He would see it as naked ambition, perhaps as poisonous disloyalty, even if my only message was: Don’t let the other guy win.”
With more than three years before the 2028 election, Harris is second among Democrats in national polling averages for the party’s presidential nomination — behind California Gov. Gavin Newsom — according to Race to the WH.

Let me think about it. Ok, I thought about it. I will not buy the book.
Those who care are at the venn diagram intersection of those who can figure out what she is saying and those who have no better use of their time.
Smith is the last sane Democrat. But he’s becoming so distressed by his party’s incurable insanity, he might not even stay as a dem much longer....
“Let me think about it. Ok, I thought about it. I will not buy the book.”
I actually stopped in Costco and laughed out loud. Two weeks after the most recent Hillary Clinton book was released there was a huge table at Costco piled high with it. They were $1 each. This book is fated for the same ending.
He will if he wants to keep his job
We saw a pile of the Hillary books at Ollie’s this past week! Ha-ha!
He will remain a dem.

LOL
Maybe silly to say on FR: but I actually have a soft spot for Kamala and thinks she is a lot more likable than people give her credit for despite being wrong on virtually every political issue. She did some good things as a prosecutor.
Always see the good. Message from the Charlie Kirk memorial today.
I use the democrats books you can get for $1 on the clearance tables at estate sales as fire starters.
Smith is still a long-term racist - careful where you place your trust.
Hil was at the Costco near my old hometown, shilling her book. Nearby is the Federal Prison, in Danbury. I asked my pal what he thought about it. “She got off the wrong exit” was his reply ;)
“Who cares what she has to say at this particular moment in time? I hope the book is successful.”
____________
Smith in a nutshell. One sentence to trash her, the next to wish her well. Yeah. He should run for president. He has almost all the same qualifications as Kamala.
Kamala Harris was around Biden for FOUR YEARS and knew he was a vegetable and that was the whole point, it was by design, now she wants to pretend to be the victim, nah, no one gives two craps about her stupid book. She can go back to doing what she does best, drinking
Smith has a point, who cares what this washed-up Harridan has to say? I suppose the book deal is some kind of political payoff for her.
Kamala was my defense attorney at one time.
Still over priced. 😜
Good for you.
A better title.
I’m tellin’ ya, don’t underestimate this guy...
