Britain will “never surrender” to far-right protesters who use the English flag as cover for violence and to instil fear, Keir Starmer has said, condemning attacks against police officers and racist harassment.
The prime minister said the St George’s flag “represents our diverse country” and he would not tolerate people being “intimidated on our streets because of their background or the colour of their skin”.
MPs and anti-fascist groups had urged the prime minister to speak up against some of the rhetoric of the largest nationalist protest in decades, organised by the far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.
The pressure on Downing Street to be more proactive in defence of diversity came after 10 days of widespread dissatisfaction from MPs over the handling of Angela Rayner’s resignation, the ensuing reshuffle and the sacking of the US ambassador, Peter Mandelson, over links to Jeffrey Epstein.

Starmer needs to come to the revelation that HE and his ilk are the enemy of Britain, NOT the people.

Labour had a huge majority in Parliament. So if Starmer resigns, there won’t be a new election. The voters will have no say.
Instead, the Labour members of Parliament will pick the next Prime Minister.

So true, but that's why I think this demonstration was so important. Two reason, really: 1) Whatever the politicians, msm, and authorities say they know there is a very large dissatisfaction in the country. Anyone who has been involved in politics knows that the number of demonstrators is only a small proportion of those who actually feel so strongly that they will take part. Multiply the figure 1 million by ten times and you have a number that definitely will affect the next election.
2) After this demonstration people know that they are not alone. When Lucy Connolly was put in jail for a tweet that she erased after 4 hours that certainly put a lid on free speech in Britain. But now I think the Britons will again dare to express their political opinions.

Starmer is right, but only because he and his ilk have already surrendered the flag and England to the moslems, as has Ireland.

England surrendered to India and a few other countries where the sun never sets on the empire…..no nation is immune from the “ cycle”. Look at England today., it appears the sun is setting on many Western nations.
