The Polish Parliament observed a minute of silence in memory of the murdered right-wing activist from the US, Charlie Kirk. "Let us express our opposition to this political hatred," urged PiS MP Paweł Jabłoński from the podium.
During Friday's session of the Sejm, Law and Justice (PiS) MP Paweł Jabłoński called on members of parliament to observe a minute of silence in memory of Charlie Kirk. He emphasized that Kirk was a young activist valued not only in the United States but also around the world.
He added that Kirk deeply believed in dialogue and conversation, that it was possible to debate with those with whom we sometimes disagree. "Unfortunately, there was a man who couldn't stand it, who brutally attacked him and shot him," said the PiS MP.
"Let us express our opposition to this political hatred," Jabłoński emphasized.
In response to the PiS MP's call, most MPs stood in silence, and some said a short prayer. Only a small number of Left and Civic Coalition MPs did not consider this significant.
