A dozen federal judges walk into a bar…
American Thinker ^ | 09/05/2025 | M. Walter

…and start crying into their beer.

That’s what happened over at NBC “News.” A dozen -- anonymous -- federal judges, appointed by both Republican and Democrat presidents, went whining to NBC about how hurt their feelings are that SCOTUS keeps overturning their garbage activist rulings and how it makes them look bad and gosh golly gee can SCOTUS knock it off pleeeeeeeez?

The content of the piece is remarkable for its immaturity. The simple fact that they felt compelled to do this is itself indicative of a lack of impulse control and unworthiness to hold a gavel. They clearly lack the judicial temperament to preside over anything or anyone, though we knew that from their emotionally incontinent rulings.

Ten of the 12 judges who spoke to NBC News said the Supreme Court[’s]… terse decisions leave lower court judges with… a new and concerning effect… validating the Trump administration’s criticisms. A short rebuttal from the Supreme Court, they argue, makes it seem like they did shoddy work and are biased against Trump.

“It is inexcusable,” a judge said of the Supreme Court justices. “They don’t have our backs.”

Got that? The Court is “validating” Trump, and making it “seem like they did shoddy work and are biased against Trump.”

Well, there’s a solution to that: stop doing shoddy work while biased against Trump.

And as to their “backs”? The Court’s job is to have the Constitution’s back, or one might even say the People’s back, not a lower court’s! How do they not know this? Worse, how can they say something so juvenile to a reporter? Who in hell do we have sitting on the federal bench? I might -- might -- expect this from a lowly local judge, in a small town, just getting a gavel for the first time, ...

A federal judge's purview is decidedly narrow and inconsequential.

1) Q: Does a law violate the clear, explicit edicts of the U.S. Constitution?
2) (much lesser extent) Q: Is a current constitutional federal law not being followed?
3) Does a state law which a leftist doesn't like violate #1 above?

That's it. A short day on the bench.

being how these so-called “judges” are anonymous, how do we even know IF they are even judges, or even exist at all for that matter? ... after all, it IS NBC making these claims ...

There should be a check on rogue judges. Too many rulings which get changed on appeal and they get probation. Violating probation...”pah-ting”...flicked outta’ there like ashes off a cigarette.
The judiciary is supposed to be independent, but these judges are clearly working for the democratic party.
They are setting the precedent for other political movements to have their own judges go rogue. Think right wingers, repubs, far left crazies, and mohammedans. Too bad all of them can’t be removed after a particularly wrong judgement,
especially if it causes harm.

Actually that is not the job of district court judges. Their job is to find that facts and apply the law as written or interpreted by the courts above to resolve cases in controversy to attain swift economical justice, a job the federal courts have not been doing since FDR became President, if not earlier.

If they kept their opinions within the law and did not use social interpretations on their cases, then they wouldn’t have so many overturned. So don’t change laws from the bench to fit current events and stay with what the law says. Makes life easier. Your job is the law, not authoritarian.

Stop writing crappy decisions. Stop the overextension of your rules to the whole nation.

They have the audacity to say that the SCOTUS doesn't have their backs when they pull crap like completely ignore the mandates of FRCP 65??? When they hand out injunctive relief to NGO's with no valid standing like it was candy??? When their rulings do not comport with the US Code??? When they interfere with legitimate and constitutional executive branch policies???

Find out the names of these jerks and call your congressmen and demand their impeachment. Tell them if they do not do it, then your voting preferences will not be exercised in the 26 midterms.

Barry Manilow Feelings

"Feelings" is associated with Morris Albert. Barry would finish up on a triumphal note, and the song doesn't call for that.

The only worthwhile information in this story is the confirmation that both Republican and Democrat nominated judges suffer from TDS.

They should be thankful SCOTUS hasn't hit them with writs of mandamus or prohibition and required them to pay attorneys' fees for failure to perform basic ministerial tasks, follow clear precedent and separation of powers.

“Find out the names of these jerks and call...”

Easy, peesy, just look at who’s been making the overturned rulings and you’ll find your guilty parties.

I don’t know why writers and commentators naively assume that a dozen judges actually said such things to NBC “reporters.” My default assumption is that the “reporters” made up everything. In fact, no judges would talk to them.

There is no solution for TDS.

Once a leftist or rino shows symptoms of it, it’s best to make sure they can’t own firearms (because they might go postal), they don’t hold positions of authority over innocent people’s lives, and give them vouchers for frontal lobotomies.
