At our local Mexican place, they serve two salsa bowls, one mild and the other more spicy. (And they are careful to indicate which is which)
Restaurants should serve their customers what they like. If that means milder salsa, so be it.
The New York Slimes are so stupid, I can’t understand how they still exist.
Our local Thai Place has the option:
Mild
Medium
or
Very Spicy.
It’s called “Hospitality”.
(I’m sorry your Mexican restaurant shifted gears without informing their customers. That would be my cue to find another restaurant.)
