Two of the seven suspects arrested in connection with the disgusting beating of two white people in downtown Cincinnati have been freed from jail.
24-year-old DeKyra Vernon and 25-year-old Aisha Devaughn were released on Friday.
Both were (allegedly) active participants in the savage beating.
Vernon is believed to be the woman in the viral video who punched the female victim, Holly, from behind, while Devaughn is believed to be the woman who stomped on the male victim’s head.
This comes after a woke judge cut each suspect’s bond to $25,000, of which they only have to pay $2,500 upfront.
Vernon’s bond was originally set at $250,000 while Devaughn’s was $300,000.
Absolutely maddening!
Fox News confirmed:
The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Fox News Digital that DeKyra Vernon, 24, and Aisha Devaughn, 25, were released from the Hamilton County Jail on Friday.
In a Thursday arraignment, Vernon’s bond was reduced from $250,000 to $25,000 at 10%. On the same day, Devaughn’s bond was reduced from $300,000 to $25,000 at 10%.
You can thank Judge Alan Triggs for that:
VIDEO AT LINK...................
24-year-old Dekyra Vernon is believed to be the woman who was seen on footage allegedly punching ‘Holly’ from behind.
She was being held on a $200,000 secure bond.
It has now been lowered to just $25,000 by Judge Alan Triggs, and she will only need to cough up 10% ($2500) of that, as reported by The Blaze.
25-year-old Aisha Devaughn is believed to be the woman wearing a white bodysuit who allegedly stomped on the male victim in the street.
She had initially been held on a $300,000 secure bond, which has since been lowered to $25,000 as well. Devaughn also only needs to cough up 10%.
Cheers were heard in the gallery after the bond was lowered, according to Fox News.
No wonder Cincinnati is such a mess.
Here’s the million-dollar question:
Both of these thugs were charged with three counts of alleged felonious assault, three counts of assault, and two counts of aggravated rioting.
It’s insane that they weren’t charged for attempted murder…
However, the lawyer for Dekyra Vernon has argued that she was overcharged.
WCPO reported:
The defense for Dekyra Vernon argued that the cases were overcharged.
“Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the United States Capitol. That’s a riot. When you get together, you assemble and you plan to commit a crime, that’s not what happened down on Fourth Street, Judge,” Bennett said.
Bennett claimed, “The catalyst for the bonds in this case is race and politics, not the law.”
I’ve never heard something so outrageous in my life.
Regardless of “race and politics,” these two women need to be locked up for a very long time — along with all the rest of the thugs who beat up two people nearly to death.
They should not be given mercy on this.
Where is the justice in Cincinnati?

Whole. Lot of judges could use a good hot tar and feathering
I predicted it. This story became a narrative that the liberals had to win.
No difference from England. Two-tiered justice system.
But we do have Trump and the Constitution.
No surprise at either the names of the perps or the fact that they got off scot-free. For the past 30 years, the US criminal justice system has been moving towards giving every black violent criminal either a free ride or at most a slap on the wrist, thanks to leftist attorney generals and muzzled law enforcement.
Black perps beat white people into a bloody pulp..commie media says “Hey the white people had it coming, for slavery and stuff”
And whiny idiots wonder why people turn to vigilante justice ...
It was committed against a White person because of their race.
Hate crime. 20 years minimum.
They got out on bond, they were not SET FREE.
Just what did you think they were up to? This is called "restorative justice", "social justice".
Let me quote the DA from the murder capital of America. "We can't jail our way out of a crime problem".
"Jailing criminals is stupid. It's like sending them to crime college"
"Incarcerating criminals solves nothing"
All direct quotes in my presence by Steve Mulroy, Memphis (Shelby County) District Attorney.
If the state of Ohio will not effectively punish these thugs, the Federal Department of Justice should pursue them under civil rights laws.
You're darn tootin'.
He is essentially correct.
They come out of prison worse than they went in.
The Romans executed criminals.
They didn’t warehouse them................
Hate crimes to me are unconstitutional. They have no bearing on the crime. You kill someone and there is no affirmative defense for self-defense, it is murder, doesn’t matter why as far as the crime goes. The shows have told us that motive is an element of the crime. It might be in some states but in rede states it is not and does not need to be presented during prosecution, but the liberal always want to say, “he did it because he was mistreated as a child” or “metal illness” or “the accused is black and slavery blah blah...”.
Mental illness is no defense IMO.
It is just a tool the feds use to get a second bite at the apple (when they want to use it and that depends on the perpetrator) to pad their conviction stats.
Indeed they are. Hate crimes are the definition of UNequal justice before the law because they specify special characteristics and specific groups which are granted enhanced protection.
But as long as they're being applied, they need to be applied equally across the board.
If criminals are not punished, we get more crime.
If it were up to me, we could get by with many fewer prisons.
Those guilty of minor offenses (theft, sale of illicit drugs, etc) would get a flogging as punishment, combined with being forced to compensate the loss of property either through fines or labor, and would go back to their lives rather than being incarcerated. Most would learn their lesson, and unlike prison, it wouldn't transform petty criminals into violent felons.
Truly dangerous criminals - murderers, rapists, armed robbers would be executed.
Prisons would be for the small remaining fraction whose offenses are more serious than those of thieves or drug dealers but who don't rise to the level of lethal force meriting capital punishment.
Are they in jail? No. They are FREE on bond.
Predictable, no?
“””Are they in jail? No. They are FREE on bond.”””
Yes. That is usually the process.
Get arrested and charged.
Get out on a bond
Come back for the trial
