WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration has ordered the revocation of the security clearances of 37 current and former national security officials, including some who worked on the intelligence community’s assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election, according to people familiar with the matter who were not authorized to discuss it by name.
A memo from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which was seen by The Associated Press, accuses the targeted individuals of having engaged in the “politicization or weaponization of intelligence” to advance personal or partisan gain.
It’s the latest action of retribution by the Trump administration against national security officials he perceives as having been against him. It comes as his government has launched a sweeping effort to cast doubt on the legitimacy of intelligence community findings that Russia interfered on his behalf in the 2016 election.

Ha ha ha ha!
I love the butt hurt that is implicit in the article.
It isn’t retribution against these people, it is both a security measure, and justice to even a small degree for their lawbreaking.
But I fully enjoy seeing them get angry about it. Knowing what a gravy train it is that is unwisely granted to them, in which they have abused, I take special pleasure in their frustration and anger.
One would hope clearance is only granted to those that need it to serve the country.
They imply that someone has a right to a security clearance. Complete rubbish.
Issued on an “as needed” basis?
My goodness, that sounds logical.
Can’t have any of that going on in Goobermint!
Is shifty-schiff in that list?
Also, Nadler and Comey and Hillary and Pelosi and Schumer and Obama and Swalwell and everyone in the congressional investigations of the Russia-Trump hoax.
Is Schiff, Nadler, Comey, Hillary, Pelosi, Schumer, Obama, Swalwell and everyone
mentioned in the congressional investigations of the Russia-Trump hoax on the list?
I would hope so.
That policy is abused by higher ranking people who retire to basically no-show contractor "consultant" positions that don't require regular access in order to continue having access for their new employer when they don't legitimately have a need for it for the benefit of the government. Gets the contractor company a higher billing rate and them a higher salary.
This keeps them from getting high paying private sector jobs that require clearance.
You know, when I see an article like this, I don’t even have to look at who posted it.
It’s most always you, trolling ultra-liberal trash.
Go stick your head back in the sand like an ostrich.
Jim, if I am doing something wrong please tell me and I will stop.
No one does. Normal people with clearances lose them the day they leave. If they come back within a certain timeframe to a job that requires clearances, its easier and less work is needed to reactivate, but they can’t jut waltz back in the day after they’re done and think they are getting in. Doesn’t work that way for normies and it shoukdn’t for the higher ups. Especially it shouldn’t for higher ups, because they often have more and broader clearances. Those all need to be gone once they’re out. Immediately.
When I retired from my job, my low level security badge at a private company was taken from me. All security clearances should be revoked when you leave gov’t.
Beats the ever loving bird doohicky straight outta me.
lol...wut? It's a good article, and good news.
Your post is what digital dementia looks like - idiot.

I wonder if this is the same article we talked about, maybe two weeks ago?
Not sure, but there are at least two sources
