Tulsi Gabbard strips 37 of security clearances over Obama-ordered intel report that launched Russiagate

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced the revocation of 37 security clearances of current and former officials who “abused public trust by politicizing and manipulating” information — including several who were involved in a controversial, Barack Obama-ordered assessment of Russian influence in the 2016 election.

An ODNI memo dated Monday announced that the more than three dozen intel professionals — including a former top aide to Obama DNI James Clapper — had either politicized or weaponized intelligence, failed to safeguard classified info or not followed tradecraft standards.

“The President has directed that, effective immediately, the security clearances of the following 37 individuals are revoked,” the memo stated.

“Their access to classified systems, facilities, materials, and information is to be terminated forthwith. Any contracts or employment with the U.S. Government by these 37 individuals is hereby terminated. Any credentials held by these individuals must be surrendered to the appropriate security officers.”

The 37 include Vinh Nguyen, who assisted Clapper in producing the now-discredited 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment on Russia’s preference for then-candidate Donald Trump in the 2016 contest with Hillary Clinton.

“Being entrusted with a security clearance is a privilege, not a right,” Gabbard said in a statement. “Those in the Intelligence Community who betray their oath to the Constitution and put their own interests ahead of the interests of the American people have broken the sacred trust they promised to uphold.”

These security clearances should expire the day they leave government employment, just like most of them.
Why are these tyrants allowed to get rich, using government intel?

GOOD.

Once they’re out of office their security clearances should automatically revoke.

If you’re not employed by the government (some contractors), you don’t need one. No un-elected goons (out of office) or staffers every need one after leaving DC.

There should also be several FISA judge clearances revoked, after their practice of rubber-stamping secret warrants on American citizens without examining the evidence.

Those 51 were stripped of their security clearances in the early days of Trump 2.0. They need to be prosecuted, if possible.

Normally, yes. But there are plenty of exceptions. Once my brother retired from the Air Force he started working for the contractor the AF hired for computer security at Nellis Air Base in Las Vegas.

It was because he already had the clearances and kept them. His last job in the AF was as a liaison to that company.

When that contract expired and he got hired by Raytheon mostly because of his high level security clearance. He was at the Top Top Secret level. He now works cyber security for another defense contractor he can’t even name.

Our female appointees aren’t only more competent than theirs, but they are way better looking as well.

Tulsi knows what she is doing.

I TRUST her.

This MUST be considered.

Where was the Republican wing of the uniparty in the last four years?

They CONTROLLED the Senate.

Rubio was the head of the Senate intelligence committee.

NOT everything that Tulsi is uncovering was so deeply buried that they couldn’t have uncovered it if they had the WILL.

Answer is the Senate Republicans didn’t think it mattered because they didn’t think Trump had much chance of getting the nomination let alone winning back the White House.

Rubio has done a good job as Secretary of State and Vance has done a good job as VP.

But they did not push hard enough against the Deep State crimes against Trump nor did they show much interest in the J6ers.

Gabbard 2028

I always thought it was best to target the behind the scenes foot soldiers who execute these affairs instead of the big name PR flak catchers.
