President Donald Trump presented Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky with a large map showing the 20% of the country under Russian control.
During the Oval Office meeting on Monday, a large map depicting the current battlefield status of the war was presented to Zelensky.
The eastern part of the map was shaded in pink to represent the nearly 20% of the country under control by Putin's forces after the nearly four-year war.
The map may play a roll in pressuring Zelensky to consider transferring territory in order to seal a peace agreement.
Zelensky arrived to the White House for historic talks with President Donald Trump and aimed at ending the Ukraine-Russia war.
Zelensky was joined by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italy's Giorgia Meloni, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Germany’s Friedrich Merz and more.
The Ukrainian president appeared without a tie for the meeting. It was a bold statement after his appearance in military fatigues stirred controversy during his last Oval Office visit six months ago.

Ah, jeez. Who, by far, sounds most eager to make a deal here?
Just visited 2 of those countries this summer (Croatia and Montenegro) and they are thriving. The “cultural disdain” for their neighbors has almost completely disappeared.
Anyone informed knows that Putin is following a playbook that rhymes with the playbook of 87 years ago.
I’m amazed that Yugoslavia held together as long as it did.
The Lefties in Zurich would NEVER give Trump a Peace Prize. It won’t ever happen. Remember, they gave one to Obama for just being Black.
Doesn’t mean it’s not motivating him.
(And it’s leftists in Sweden.)
Reciprocally bomb Moscow the same way Kiev was.

Use strategic bombers to do it.
Then lets see who will give up territory.
It should be a return to status quo ante bellum.
“Ukraine has made offers to end it as well.”
Verbal contracts aren’t enforceable. Ukraine never puts anything in writing, just screams about what it won’t do.
I've heard just about every tin-pot dictator called "the next Hitler" and every negotiation with said tin-pot dictator called "another Munich" and "another Chamberlain" over the past 40 years that they may as well make a neocon pull-my-string doll to say these things. It's like the boy who cried wolf, after a while, nobody of sound mind can take any of it seriously.
