The video of a semi-truck taking a wrong U-turn on the Florida Turnpike, killing 3 went viral as social media users claimed that the driver must be from India.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s crash report, the semi-truck was driving northbound in the right lane of the Turnpike as a Chrysler Town & Country minivan was traveling north in the Turnpike’s left lane.
From the right lane, the semi-truck attempted to make a U-turn at an “official use only” turn-around area near mile marker 171, crossing in front of the vehicle in the left lane. The driver of the vehicle was unable to avoid the truck, wedging the minivan underneath the truck.
Two passengers inside the minivan, a 37-year-old woman from Pompano Beach and a 54-year-old man from Miami, died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Chrysler, a 30-year-old man from Florida City, was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

ILLEGAL U-TURN TRUCK DRIVER ARRESTED FOR VEHICULAR HOMICIDE
~ Issued Immigration Detainer ~
St. Lucie County - On August 12, 2025, State Troopers responded to a crash on Florida’s Turnpike occurring in St. Lucie County. The crash involved a mini-van and a commercial semi-truck and trailer. Based upon our initial, but on-going criminal investigation, it is evident that the driver of the commercial semi-truck recklessly, and without regard for the safety of others, attempted to execute a U-Turn utilizing an unauthorized location. As a result of his actions, the three occupants of the mini-van are now deceased.
State Troopers obtained a criminal arrest warrant for the driver, Harjinder Singh, for three (3) counts of vehicular homicide. During the course of this criminal investigation and with the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), State Troopers determined that Harjinder Singh entered the United States illegally, having crossed the Mexico border in 2018. The Defendant then obtained a Commercial Driver’s License in the state of California. Under the federal authority delegated by ICE to FHP State Troopers through the 287 (g) program, State Troopers issued an ICE detainer.
“The actions taken by the Defendant while operating a commercial tractor-trailer are both shocking and criminal”, said Executive Director Dave Kerner. “Three people lost their lives as a result of his recklessness, and countless friends and family members will experience the pain of their loss forever. Harjinder Singh is in custody on state vehicular homicide charges and immigration violations. He will no longer be able to damage and destroy the lives of Floridians and visitors. At the conclusion of his state charges, he will be deported. The Florida Highway Patrol remains committed to enforcing both state and federal law to ensure that people that are a danger to others face justice behind bars.”
This happened where I live. California has a lot to answer for.
Will he serve time in a Florida prison first?
Of course I am not blaming the victim here but the tendency of tto drive in the left lane drives me completely crazy. I am a right lane kind of guy and I will drive in the left lane when nobody is near enough to pass me. I prefer if they pass me on the left so I try to be in the right lane. Some people get in the left lane and turn on cruise control and just roll along at 66 miles per hour.
Whoever issued the CDL in California to this illegal should be charged as an accomplice to the homicides.
FWIW If the semi was in the right lane and the van was in the left lane, it makes sense that the semi was slowing down, so maybe the van was trying to pass them, not expecting the semi to U-turn right in front of them.
People from basket-case countries bring that basket with them wherever they go.
Maybe not. “At the conclusion of his state charges” means that he gets $1000 and a first-class ticket.
Oh, wait a minute. Biden’s not POTUS anymore.
can we repeal the 1965 commie one-world government open border immigration act please? Would that be ok?
United States has more serial killers than any country in the world.
Who would ever expect any vehicle to deliberately go perpendicular to the flow of traffic on a turnpike?
This man should not be deported. A lifetime pass involving 3 hots and a cot as a guest of the governor seems like a more appropriate reward.
Exactly!
These are the people replacing American drivers in droves. No vetting, here illegally, with rubber stamped CDLs given out like candy during the Biden reign. As a us citizen I dare you to try and get a CDL, go ahead it’s super fun /s. If Biden had a brain he should be up on charges for multiple homicides.
[United States has more serial killers than any country in the world.]
Probably another Star Wars-named person just like the driver of the truck.
If you watch the video (it is difficult to witness this horror) it seemed clear to me that the truck was in the right lane and initiated the u-turn from there, thus the mini-van was in the process of passing the truck when this occurred.
Victim’s family should sue state of California for issuing him a commercial license.
The driver of the minivan couldn't have been driving anywhere EXCEPT the left lane, based on where the tractor-trailer was positioned before making this illegal left turn across the roadway.
A similar incident occurred in New Jersey back in 2018 with a vehicle making an illegal left turn across a limited-access highway. That incident involved a freaking school bus making the illegal turn, and resulted in two fatalities on the bus.
I remember one time a couple of these guys were supposed to install a heavy piece of equipment in the ceiling of an auditorium. It was supposed to be secured with three large bolts minimum for safety.
After they were done, I checked and they only used two bolts. I said whoa, what is this? They told me "two bolts is good enough."
Could not believe I heard this. It was a safety issue. 3 bolts minimum for safety. But they just didn't give f***. It would have only taken a minute or two. But too much time for these lazy slovenly s.o.b.s
