And another one gone, another one gone, another one bites the dust! The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has laid waste to California’s ridiculous “one-gun-per-month” law in yet another victory for gun rights.
The law, passed in 2019, prohibited individuals from purchasing more than one handgun or semi-automatic rifle within a 30-day period. The court had declared that the law violated the Second Amendment because the state “has not demonstrated that the one-gun-per-month law is consistent with the Nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation.”
The historical test was established by the Supreme Court’s 2022 ruling in New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. It requires that any current gun control law must be similar to firearms restrictions enacted during the Founding era.

Mr. Dances With Ashes
Isn’t happy unless he’s dancing on someone’s burnt out property that he’s scheming on how to grifter profit through the backdoor on the properties.
That few rebuild permits have been given in southern California, and the talk of section 8 housing projects being planned for the properties people are losing due to commie cal insurance and permitting and property tax expenses bear that out IMHO.
Hooray for gun-owners: judges laid waste to California’s ridiculous “one-gun-per-month” law in yet another victory for gun rights.
Passed in 2019, the asinine law prohibited individuals from purchasing more than one handgun or semi-automatic rifle within a 30-day period.
The court had declared that the law violated the Second Amendment because the state “has not demonstrated that the one-gun-per-month law is consistent with the Nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation.”
20 round magazines and silencers (suppressors) please.
You just don't understand. They have to keep the servants' quarters close to those beach estates, as long commutes are a cause of climate change. Besides, getting low income housing in favorable weather is a matter of social justice that comes at the expense of that pesky (and likely Republican) upper-middle class that has never paid enough in taxes.
What's not to like?
Good. Now do magazine bans.
I’m sure Californians are relieved, as they are running out of space for all the gun safes full of guns. 12 guns a year adds up pretty quick.

May Newscum get so hot that his hair gel melts.
No need for the “Gun a Month” purchasing clubs anymore.
OK, time for a test.
In DC, residents were arrested by federal agents for possessing a gun.
How can this be in light of all the recent SCOTUS favorable second amendment rulings striking down local gun laws?
It’s been a challenge but one must follow the law!
Were they already felons?
I did hear they were going to expidite issuing carry permits. Guess we shall see.
Are carry permits even legal
The amendment says “keep and BEAR arms”
Gosh, what happened to our old fiend--er, friend--the Ninth Circus?
Did Trump unfairly sneak on some non-Commies?
And the same reasoning the court used applies to all the federal ‘gun laws’ - NFA, GCA68/86 and so on.
Another question I’ve never heard asked is, how could the constitution have a clear prohibition on government infringement of citizen’s armaments and then through the ‘taxing power’ give it the means to ignore the prohibition? The answer, of course, is it didn’t. Just some scummy commie/socialist plants on the courts and bureaucracy and media all claimed it did, last century.
A bad hair day is when you hair gel runs.
As it’s a federal district, they should go Constitutional Carry or at the least national reciprocity.
Most gun laws are just intended to make life miserable for law abiding gun owners and have nothing to do with public safety. Liberals view gun ownership as the real problem because it reveals dissident views which is contrary to liberal thinking. They don’t care a whit about public safety but are more concerned about what they consider to be “wrong headed” thinking.
I’ve been seeing PSAs lately complaining that guns are the #1 tool used in suicide. Then at the end the statement is ‘we should all agree to agree to stop gun violence’. No way to input to ‘agreetoagree.org’. Wonder why? Anyway, I think drug ODs claim way more lives. have a great weekend!
