ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — A redistricting showdown in Texas is now spilling into New York State and other states, with a group of Texas Democrats fleeing to Albany in an effort to block what they call a dangerous and partisan power grab.
More than 50 Texas Democratic lawmakers walked out of the legislative session in Austin this week, effectively denying a quorum needed to pass a controversial mid-decade congressional redistricting plan.

I hope that the New York Republicans have a press conference to discuss gerrymandering, and furnish a map that shows how the Democrats have gerrymandered the State already in their favor, and maybe we need a new plan to equalize the Republicans.

I don’t get it. How is this in any way, her business. Hasn’t she mis-managed her own state enough already? Why does she need to weigh in on how the state business, in a far more successfully run state, is conducted? Governor, show us your NY state congressional districts, so we Texans can see how gerrymandering should be done!

They are intentionally delaying legislation that determines federal
congressional districts- seems like the Feds could jump in here and arrest them in Illinois or New York
