California will soon have new laws on the books that attempt to crack down on the buyers in the teen sex trafficking trade.
Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday signed Assembly Bill 379 to make it a felony for older adults to buy 16 and 17-year-olds for sex.

Must be planning on running . Didn’t California pass a law a while back that if caught having sex with a minor, the penalty was way less of the minor was same sex as the perp.

The last I knew, purchasing sex from anybody / any age was considered prostitution and illegal period.
I think what we’re talking about (under age) would be considered to be “rape” in most other states.
