I voted for this.
In a related story, Reuters demanded the reinstatement of government-funded horseshoe subsidies until the private horseshoe market returns.
Good riddance!
If your product can't stand on its own, well....
We want our old washing machines back...and I love my gas stove...and my toilet that I only have to flush once.
It is staggering the amount of money our government wastes on crap like that and sending cash to other countries and such. That money could go to help vets, pay down debt, and other better causes (not welfare) or just give it back to us.
And yes, I know it is just printed money so it wouldn’t really pay down debt.
So did I.

Sorry Roto Reuters, it was already on the wane before Trump took office.
Looting the treasury is not, and never was, a “boom”. It was all a con game, and built a house of cards.
First of all ‘Boom’ in this context is a rookie misnomer... the word is ‘boon’ and refers to a financial windfall. Nichola Groom should learn the english language. Second, in this context it refers to lucrative government subsidies and tax breaks which seek to circumvent and disrupt the normal market economy e.g. socialist/fascist market manipulation. We voted for this.
I voted for it as well I and if the product doesn’t make sense stand-alone it is not a good business decision.
I expect the price of solar panels will come down and droves of shady installers will have to find a new line of business or cut their prices.
Now, if the same thing or similar were to be done for Ethanol I would be even happier than I am now. Corn is neither fuel or sweetener.
Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door. Old saying, still holds up.
Subsidies are kickbacks for pals.
If “Clean Energy” can’t make it without subsidies, they should drop out anyway. I think most people already know the “clean/green energy” suppliers can’t adequately supply the nation with needed electric power on their own anyway. It is very dangerous relying on them in any emergency situation.

It not a “boom” if the industry cannot succeed without government handouts
Doing the renewals a favor. They’ll have to try harder. Perple perform better under pressure and can do great things.
Ah, there it is. I thought for a minute we’d stopped seeing the beloved “gut” and “gutted”.
On washing machines, here’s my trick.
I have a laundry sink right next to my W/D pair in which I keep a 1 gallon plastic pitcher. When I’m getting laundry going, putting in the detergent, I fill the pitcher and dump it on the clothes.
Why?
Not for the added water - for the added WEIGHT!
To save water to be approved by EPA Green extremists, washers sense how much wash is in the drum and apportion out water by the weight it senses. So what we’re doing is tricking the system so we get enough water to actually wash and rinse the clothes.
It still pisses me off I have to do this, but it works for me!
