Going by what everyone has scored so far 8 9 or 10 are the popular scores. Just to be contrarian I could say I scored 2 and say I never liked America but that would be wrong since I scored 8 and fell in line with everyone else.

And,as a social media DJ myself, I've played some of America's music on my social sites. I may post one of their songs later today. We'll see, but I got 9 out of 10 on the quiz.

Not so much air full of sound today but it sure is full now - - of the sound of katydids. LOL Still a bit steamy to.

But it felt REAL good to have no rain!

I just happened to look and jumped on it. Didn’t want you to have to wait. :-)

Corn is in the freezer and I had to sit down to give the ol’ bum back a break before cleaning up the kitchen. I can walk all day and be fine but standing for long periods makes my back scream.

After shucking, I looked at the ears while waiting for the water to boil and ended up cutting them all in half. They were huge. I’ll still get another dozen and do the same, then won’t have to ration so strictly over winter. :-) I don’t eat it all the time but it’s nice to have it on hand when in the mood. Yum yum!

We had identical skies yesterday. As far as Gizmo’s tongue was hanging out, we might have had identical heat too. LOL It was pretty rough here.

It’s not really summer until the katydids start their scraping. I used to hear them back in Detroit.

Thanks for putting it out of its misery. Right after posting the WoooHooo!!, I went out on the patio, swept it...I was feeling some energy for a change...LOL! ....and watched videos as Savanna [their huuuuuge 28” at the shoulder dog lay out there with me. Very pleasant.

They’ve been my favorite summer bug since I was very young. I still love them and enjoy sitting on the patio at night to listen to them chatter.

You betcha! And getting it into the freezer the day it was picked, it tastes fresh-picked later when you eat it. Wait a day or two and it isn’t the same.

My back’s feeling better already. Just needed to sit a little while and do a few stretches.

Sounds like a pleasant time on the patio with Savanna. Bet she enjoyed it too.

She was more relaxed than I have seen her since I've been here. She is just a big ol' sweetie of a dog. Part St. Bernard and part Great Pyrenees.
