Crush the Armed Insurrection
Powerline ^ | July 12, 2025 | John Hinderaker

The City of Los Angeles has declared itself to be in a state of rebellion against federal law. See Mayor Karen Bass’s executive directive, which officially aligns the city on the side of lawbreakers–in many cases, violent lawbreakers–and against the rule of law.

Violence against federal law enforcement officers has gotten out of hand. Most recently, in executing a raid on a marijuana farm in California, federal agents were attacked by a mob of 500 rioters and fired upon. They made 200 arrests and rescued ten children who were being exploited as laborers.

Outraged at escalating violence against law enforcement, President Trump encouraged ICE and others to arrest those who commit violent acts against them:

***

Obviously, these criminals were already subject to arrest, so Trump was encouraging a strong response, not authorizing anything new.

***

It is only a matter of time until federal officers are murdered, with the full-throated encouragement of the Democratic Party. What we are seeing bears more resemblance, I think, to 1861 than to 2017. The federal government should use its full powers to crush (and defund) the insurrection before it is too late, and violence spins out of control.

“Time for seriousness in California DJT and that might mean suspending rights for a while. Do whatever it takes. And ignore the courts.”

That’s a great plan if you’re actively working to ignite a real civil war. There are lots of people on the Left who are more than willing to commit violence if they think federal officers are acting illegally.

Nobody here would have tolerated Biden sending troops to Texas to make them comply with something he ordered. It makes no more sense to tolerate it from Trump.

Mayor Bass (Big Ass) should be arrested to assisting illegals by paying them out of city funds.

Trump needs to make a decision. Either come down hard on these sanctuary, criminal mayors and governors and arrest them and shooter the rioters… OR… totally seal off these states from anything federal. Let the criminals loot, rape, murder the state into on,ivion. That should be his threat.

I know.

The left will ignore when they do something and then condemn when the right does the exact same thing.

Yep, the left is going to be very peaceful so long as Trump allows them to continue their inusrrection. Their peaceful protest so far are great examples of the 1st amendment at work.....

Where does the left get its database of facial images to do a comparison? Are they using social media (facebook), media photos of police ceremonies, or are they accessing government driver’s licenses?

If it is government data they are relying on, there is a whole set of questions needed to be asked AND legal actions that need to be taken.

We cannot have government leaking official records to a 3rd party without also recognizing that perhaps the government itself is doing so in order to proxy fight.

Good and important questions. I can’t remember the first one but Paul Mauro (ex police) on Fox News also discussed it.

Lots of tech nerds are woke Dems but I don’t know if they can sneak use of the other databases that aren’t legal to use, or they are using company ones including private detective style ones.

Look at this Google AI reply:
“Identifying Agents During Protests: In a different context, a website called F#ckLAPD.com allows individuals to upload images of police officers to identify them using facial recognition software, particularly in instances where officers may have concealed their badges or identification numbers during protests. While this tool is not specifically for immigration agents, it demonstrates the use of facial recognition for identifying law enforcement personnel.”

Note I censored the full 4 letters of the website Fu@#LAPD.com but all can figure it out. Just keeping it clean.
