Friday on CNN’s “The Situation Room,” Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) claimed many of her Republican colleagues “don’t understand” the “Big, Beautiful Bill” they just voted for.
Co-host Wolf Blitzer said, “I spoke with your colleague and I think a friend of yours, Republican Congresswoman Lisa McClain, the chair of the Republican conference, fellow Michigander, about the impact that this bill could have on Medicaid in your state of Michigan. I want to highlight some of what she told me about the Medicaid changes that are in this bill.”
Representative Lisa McClain (R-MI) said, “My constituents applaud us for what we’re doing. My constituents want to work. They want to make sure that their disabled child is receiving Medicaid and doesn’t have to stand in line behind an able-bodied person.”
Dingell said, “Lisa and I have had many conversations, I’m going to say that to you. And I do believe she does not want to see people be hurt, but I think that a lot of people who haven’t dug in don’t understand. And the amount of the cut to Medicaid could hurt people. She’ll be the first person I go to and say, Will you help me keep this child from being cut off Medicaid? I think a lot of Republicans had their arms broken.”

How many of the hills she’s voted for has she ever bothered to actually read? Yeah that’s what I thought.
When I want to know what is going on, I don’t look for an idiot like her.
Just like NOBODY knew what they were voting for on the “Affordable Care Act.”
Pelosi herself said “You have to pass it to find out what’s in it.”
The same can be said about the constituents that voted for herr , both recently and in her prior district.
Yikes
A common and constant refrain from the left is that conservatives are too ignorant to know what they are supporting. It’s a continuation of the “deplorables” comment from HRC, and the “clinging to their guns and Bibles” statement from Obama.
The media keeps insisting that if we just knew what we were voting for in supporting Trump, we would change our minds and vote Democrat. That’s why they keep saying the reason Harris lost is faulty “messaging”. They think it’s not their message, it is just that they somehow didn’t get their message through to the ignorant peons.
Good point
Dingell sat beind Jeffries with his long harangue and looked bored to tears. She didn’t have a clue what he was saying and most people were looking DOWN which meant they had their phones in their hands and weren’t paying a bit of attention to his speech. WHO could blame them? He bored even his own party members. They speak only the words they are told to speak...keep up the facade...
If we’re serious about having our elected politicians work FOR US, they need to give up their phones as they enter the chambers. What is going on with their phones is more important than paying attention to why they are there and collecting a paycheck!
“”No women in Congress...period.””
This woman votes YAY!!!!
Neither does he on most bills because he has never read them.
“their disabled child is receiving Medicaid”
Kids in low-income households are eligible for Hillary Clinton’s Kidscare.
Here are the “draconian” changes to Medicaid:
“Medicaid and Food Stamps Accountability: Stricter work requirements and eligibility checks will review whether at least 11 million people should be receiving healthcare that the rest of us pay for. Able-bodied adults under 65 must now work 80 hours a month to remain eligible. No freeloading and buying fudge rounds with tax dollars! (This is estimated to save almost a TRILLION dollars.)”
Hey Debbie Dingbat, did the demoncRATS understand what they voted for in 2022 for the demoncRATS tax and spend bill that they pushed through Congress and railroaded the Republicans? The demoncRATS are well known to push/shove through a bill like odoofuscare because they needed to find out what was in the bill after getting it signed. Suspect no one demoncRAT read it even after passage.
I don’t suppose the doomsayers know much more about the Big Wonderful Bill than they did about Obamacare. If I’m right about this bill, it may take awhile before we begin to see any positive reslts.

He's not very stupid, is he?
The level of BS about this bill has been rather astonishing.
The dem party is in a tailspin.
The Dems gave us “Build back Better” and the “Inflation Reduction Act” (which were total grift) and they have the nerve to criticize this. They are insane
Debbie Dingell aka Debbie Dingleberry
She was one that literally slept through it. She’s notorious for sleeping at ‘work’.
