Former Vice President Kamala Harris a favorite in governor’s race if she runs, according to new poll

Former Vice President Kamala hasn’t decided whether she will run for California governor next year, but a new poll released Wednesday shows that she would be a favorite of voters if she does.

Though many voters were undecided, Harris was the choice of 41% of survey respondents, compared to 29% who opted for an unnamed Republican candidate, according to a poll by the University of California Irvine. She also had the greatest favorability ratings and is most well known compared to all of the candidates who have announced.

“The path to governor seems well-paved for Vice President Harris if she decides to run,” said Jon Gould, dean of UCI’s School of Social Ecology, in a statement. “Although she lacks majority support at the moment, people know her better than the other candidates and generally view her favorably.”

Harris, who served as the state’s attorney general and U.S. senator, unsuccessfully ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, became former President Joe Biden’s vice president and then ran for president in 2024 in a whirlwind and unsuccessful campaign after Biden decided not to run for reelection.

Gov Harris would be the final nail in the coffin for Commiefornia. Unfortunately, I have family there.

Went to latimes to check the poll internals 🤣 but they saw me coming and threw up their paywall.

Probably oversampled black welfare mommas and white retired schoolteacher cat ladies is my guess. The guys were at work and couldn’t be reached.

There must be something really bad in the California water.

Or maybe it’s the lack of water...

It says a lot about the insanity of a majority of California voters.

In California there is no limit to human stupidity and vote cheating

At least Gavin Newsom loves the cameras.

I can't see Harris talking to the press during the fires/riots. She'll probably defer to her police chief/fire chief in L.A. and then hide

From here deep behind enemy line: assuming the result is legit, I’d say it’s based on name recognition alone. I don’t think the party is going to clear the decks for her, because there’s no danger of party division splitting the party and leading to a GOP win. We have plenty of hacks that will fight, and fight hard for the gig. My guess is that they’ll use the fiction that they didn’t know about Biden’s decline, that she participated in a cover up and thereby blew (so to speak) the White House

One caveat: the rat ruling junta is doing nothing at all about the fact that, due to environmental regulations, we’re going to lose 18% of our gas supply next year. I’ve seen estimates between $7-12 on how much gas will cost this time next year. Our voters are stupid, but no so stupid as to not recognize that they’re being screwed and to look for someone, like the Legislature, the top constitutional officers, and congressional candidates, to take out their frustration on

If the Citizens of the Land of Fruits and Nuts elect her then hopefully the Megaquake will hit and slide off into the sea...

They're "spinning" the idea of trying to get the public to ACCEPT her if she becomes a candidate and runs for Calif Governor.

Honestly.. I DO NOT believe she has the ability to GET ELECTED. She has a REPUTATION of shooting off her mouth, but, she NEVER ACCOMPLISHES anything which could be HELPFUL or BENEFICIAL to VOTERS... also, which is OBVIOUS, she is NOT highly INTELLIGENT!

She has been so protected all along the way. If she runs for governor she will have to be in the open and face unfriendly unscripted questions.

Kamalaladingdngdong would definitely wreck what’s left of that once glorious state. I lived there when it was great. My kids went to excellent public schools.

Hate to think of what Special K (grain-for-brains) would do to them.
