First, kudos to Speaker Johnson and the Republican House Leadership. We Republicans are a diverse lot. Nobody is "in charge" of any of us. (Most especially Donald Trump!) Trying to get us to act together is like trying to herd cats. But, somehow, Johnson got 'er done.
PS: The exceptional Republican WAS NOT Massie of Ky. Massie held his nose and voted for the BBB. The exception was Fitzpatrick of PA.

Fitzy is the one who wanted money for Ukraine, IIRC.

Trump gave Ukraine a chance at the White House meeting. But the little tiny Z-boy disrespected The Godfather. Nobody disrespects The Don. No second chances. One strike, and you are
out.
FAFO.

Does this mean the bill passed, or was it just one of long line of procedureal votes?
This system is too complicated for a Swede of very little brain! :-)

Saint Volodymyr can go back to playing the piano with his pants on the floor while all the war-loving libs in the audience cheer for him.

Even those of who support Ukraine defending itself against the Russian orc invasion think it’s unconscionable to kill a bill that would do so much for this country over a foreign one. So folks can stop with anti-Ukraine propaganda here.

This vote now allows for discussion and debate. This will probably last all day. Democrats will insist. Tonight a final vote will be held and hopefully pass. One that’s done, the president will sign.

I have gotten lost in all the procedures. Did the OBBB pass and is on the way to the White House for President Trump’s signature? Or, are we still waiting on actual passage?
