Judy in response to the posting and scripture you quoted the other day, here is my reply.
Genesis 15:18-21
New International Version
18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi[a] of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates— 19 the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, 20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, 21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”
The Promised Land extends from the River of Egypt to the River Euphrates, which encompasses Modern Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Parts of Modern Syria, Lebanon and Egypt Cyanide Peninsula. 3000 square miles.
The Israelites only took seven of the ten areas. They had become disobediant and showed lack of faith and there was internal division among them .
Here are the three areas they did not take at the time.
1. The Kenites ancient land is now part of southern Israel, near Irad in the North Eastern Negev.
2. The Kenizzites ancient land is now part of Southern Israel with some scholars suggesting they may have inhabitid parts of the West Bank.
3. The Kadmonites ancient land is now part of Jordan and Syria East of the Jordan River and in the Northern Arabian or Southern Syrian Desserts.
Ancient Persia, now known as Modern Day IRAN played a pivital role in restoring Israel from excile. Cyrus the great allowed Jewish exiles to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple.
The versus you quoted, Deut. 20:16-17 and 1 Sam. 15:3 only applied to those specific situations of that day.
In conclusion: Modern Day Israel incompases some of this area now, but not all of it. So whether or not the land spoken of in Genisis is still promised to the Jews of today, in order for them to go and kill all, so they can take all of this land spoken of in Genesis, is of great THEOLOGICAL debate.
CHRISTIANS and CHRISTIAN JEWS believe JESUS CHRIST came to fullfill ALL THINGS which includes Old Testament Prophecies.
CHRISTIAN ZIONISTS and ZIONISTS JEWS believe that statement in Genesis still holds to this day.
What I am beginning to see happening NOW is the beginning of a Holy War and that is a very sad thing.

I think most Christians do believe they have the right to live in the land they currently occupy, but they don’t believe they have the right to go and take land away from the people who occupy those other lands now.
I saw where your son is going to move to Arizona and I am curious. As a Canadian citizen was it pretty easy for him to get a Visa to come and live in the U.S.? I know of a family who some of the children were born in the U.S. and some in Canada, and those born in Canada for some reason couldn’t move to the U.S. I didn’t quite understand the whole situation though.
I can imagine how sick you are of all the snow and dreariness of your winter. I would be too. Like I said earlier we haven’t had any snow at all this winter until 2 days ago the 20th when we got about 1/4 inch. :-) Now we are getting drizzly rain again.
I have been enjoying watching my squirrels. I just added a little picnic table with a red umbrella on it that you put peanuts and a corn cob in. I sat this right outside my patio door and it was so funny watching them when they first saw it. I did finally see a female finch at my bird feeder yesterday. The colorful yellow male was there for just a second with the female. I wasn’t able to get a picture of the two of them together.
You keep on knitting away. When you described your grand-daughter’s boyfriend, and that you are knitting him a BLUE sweater, I pictured Mr. Rodgers from TV. lol

I’ve been keeping up with the storm since I got up.
Been pretty ugly and it hasn’t reached full steam yet as far as wind speeds. It’s dumped a lot of snow and knocked out power in several areas.
I hope y’all get through it in good shape.
Wow - 2 feet of snow! I think that’s more than we got at any one time. You stay safe, and warm, and make sure Mr.B. is nice and warm as well!

My son’s friend and former neighbor moved down to Arizona about a year ago and has done well. He is quite the go-getter and has encouraged Mike into moving.
He is able to get in as he’s bringing enough $$$ to invest in business. He won’t be a liability in any way, and intends to put in about half a million purchasing properties to run as Airbnb’s. He’s got everything in order and just waiting on approval. The immigration lawyer down there has assured him it will go through. I sure hope so at this point, because he’ll be devastated if he has to stay in communist Canada......COLD communist Canada lol.
All the little critters sound fun. Nice to sit with your morning coffee and watch them. No critters here yet. In fact, more snow, all week!

I agree, the holocaust as awful as it was, had a purpose in creating Israel and consolidating Jews that had been scattered all over the world.
Israel’s borders have grown, but I believe in every instance she was attacked first and got land after defending herself. A buffer around the original borders is fine with me. Arabs need to learn that attacking her has negative consequences (not that they ever will).

Sorry I’ve been AWOL. My surgery pain increased something awful for about a week. I figured that was my sign to get a nerve injection that I’ve been avoiding because a long needle into an already painful spot didn’t sound appealing.
But it helped! Hurt going in and the next day was even worse - but then got better as inflammation decreased due to the steroid. 100 mg gabapentin morning and night helps too, any more and I get too woozy so I don’t take the full 200 prescribed except for really bad days
I got ALA and PEA supplements to help heal nerves.
I don’t get why sometimes there’s no nerve pain with surgeries and why I have it - I would think nerves are always cut. I’m praying they heal quickly.
It’s around 2200 miles to drive lol. About a 4 hour flight.
I could purchase one of Elon’s self driving things, take some sleeping pills, blankets and a pillow and see what happens lol.

Yes, I always thought that those who perished in the Holocaust paid the price for their new (old) nation. Any land they can add, if it’s in accordance with their Biblical boundaries, is fair game. It’s not like it’s a huge sprawling country and there’s nowhere for the muslims.
Hey Judy and all! Finally charged my tablet so I could check k in with you all. This Texan/Californian is not taking to well with this winter. The cold isn’t too bad (within reason) but I hate the ice and snow, mostly because I will not walk anywhere that I could slip and fall. It’s depressing not seeing the sun. In CA where I lived, we could go weeks w/o seeing sun and I often thought about flying to Arizona for a day in the sun.
So your son is moving to AZ! Lots of snowbirds there. When I used to vacation in Palm Springs and Indio I met a lot of Canadians that owned homes there, mostly for winter.

I’m confused, it was about that from California to East Tennessee. Seems like it should be a lot farther all the way up in canada. That was a long drive, wouldn’t want to do it too often so I see why he wants you to spend the whole winter in arizona. You might enjoy that. A 4-Hour flight isn’t bad at all. Would you have to make any plane changes?
