Super busy day here. 8 loads wash at laundromat, at Walgreens an hour to use various coupons n specials to get some vitamins, supplements, chiropractor, Food store. And did all prep for dinner .. Alfredo - Jeff’s with shrimp. Now stretched out resting my back

Walgreens has the best coupons, usually can’t get anything cheaper. I forget to check them though. I did better when I had prescriptions there

Our weather has certainly been schizophrenic hasn’t it? We go from too cold to be outside to being able to go out without a jacket. I’m wearing a light sweater today and I’m wondering if it’s going to be too heavy. I have the same plans, to be outside although I’ll skip the gardening. Theoretically I’m not totally healed until 12 weeks although my physical therapist says it is long past that. But to skip anything involved bending over and pulling and lifting. I’m grateful I can bend over now, and lift something like my dog and cat. But nothing heavier and not repetitive.
I think I’ll do some dusting but I’ll wait to do the mopping and vacuuming until I get to 12 weeks. Maybe longer, I’m rather enjoying being lazy.
Well, finally, I am hooked up to a chemo machine. This is the first of a bunch. I have a second bit tomorrow, which won’t take as long. Then, a four week wait for the next round.
The people here at the Spencer Cancer Center could not be nicer and more sympathetic.
I am very much hoping I will begin to feel the results and improvement of mood by this weekend.
This anemia has leached away any positive emotion I have. This is normal. I did not at all feel any emotion about Christmas. But, and this is my point, Christmas is NOT about feelings of goodwill, nor joy, nor love, nor peace on earth. Christmas is about the Word becoming incarnate and dwelling among. We behold His glory, glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. This is not dependent on any emotions but is a fact.
Is the cancer diagnosis new? Good to hear you’re getting treatment
No, it is not new. I have waldenström macroglobulemia which in turn caused me to develop cold agglutinin disease (CAD). Although it is a secondary disease, CAD is the one that causes the trouble.
This treatment, rituxan and bendamustine (B&R), attacks the problem of CAD on both the red and white cells. I last had an infusion, and that, too, was B&R, kept me good for four years. I’m hoping for similar results.
FWIW, these conditions, WG and CAD, are chronic. I will have throughout the rest of my life.
