Had prostate surgery on dec 18th.
This time, Christmas eve at my son’s house.
I had to beg off as I had to be near the bathroom.
Texas family came up for Christmas-ish 12/26/2025.
Traditionally, they(we) had to go to Portillo’s.
So far, everything seems to be planned around eating.
We had a family breakfast 12/27/2025 - my better angel outdid herself.
Then we had our whole family gift exchange and white elephant shenanigans.
Today we had our extended family breakfast at a place that could accommodate 18 of us.
That lasted a couple of hours. Everyone went their separate ways.
Texas family went to visit friends.
I’m back in my jammies.
Wife and I are watching NCIS reruns
Life is good.
Sounds delightful! Glad you had a lovely time with family.
We finally had ours today....just got home. Jammies warming up for me lol.
Massive table full of charcuterie offerings. I can’t even begin to name it all. Skewers of curry chicken, lamb with some kind of dipping sauce, beef slices with some other kind of fancy sauce, cheeses galore, little won ton cups with cream cheese, smoked salmon, caper and salmon roe, rice croquets, deli meats.....on and on. Tons of leftovers so I get a nice container full.
Lots of fun, played some euchre, everyone had a good time.
That’s it for another year. Freezing rain continues here, the tree branches are covered with thick ice, ground is all ice.....everyone staying put tomorrow.
Crazy that the animal activists have become animal haters because they HAVE to oppose any good thing that President Trump does.
It’s a fascinating study in moronic behavior.
Sounds like fun, what a great idea to have finger foods and games. Much easier and less formal then a regular meal with all the trimmings. You didn’t mention your pies and cheesecakes but I assume they were there! In the place of honor.
Glad you had a good time with minimum stress. It’s nice to be able to recover Plus have family around, that’s great you could do that.
Happy New Year
Being a seasoned citizen ain’t for sissies.
root canal...yikes. I’ve had full mouth dentures now, for awhile. I could no longer stand having something done to a different tooth every few months or so...constant pain stunk so I had ‘em all yanked except for 5 lowers.. Then they eventually had to be yanked.
My better angel had all her teeth yanked middle of July and will have final full mouth implants in March-ish.
Last item so far is her bone on bone knee pain. Then we are all done....for now.
Hang tuff, kiddo.
I kind of wish I just had all my teeth pulled 20 years ago. But have been so much easier. And cheaper!
I feel like I’ve aged 20 years in 2025. Started off with Achilles tendon pain. Then cornea neuropathy. Then oral surgery. Then as they call it, female surgery. That one really wiped me out. Oh I forgot before that I had horrible fatigue and none of the blood test showed anything. Ended up an eye doctor of all things figured out it was allergies. The allergist said my my back lit up like a Christmas tree. And it definitely can cause extreme fatigue. Now the root canal to end the year.
Except it’s not quite done, I still have to go back at least twice, went to the endodontist and then one more time to the general dentist for a crown. Yes the fun never ends at 64! Does it get worse? I don’t think I stand that!
Okay..
The fraud dome by Somalians in Maine are coming to light.
Please drop by Red Badger’s thread and give it a Bump!
Do you remember that awful shootings in Lewiston Me. that
took the lives of 18 people?
They even took the funds that were set up for the FAMILIES
of the people who were shot!!!
Not only that, but they are threatening our citizens and offering REWARDS to shoot them!
I am incandescent with rage!

Thank you, Red!
I think this massive fraud is likely nation-wide, especially in the blue states. I hope this starts an avalanche of dem crime being discovered. It actually makes me feel sick when I think of the honest people who pay their taxes and live in a country that will be responsible for trillions of dollars in debt. Beyond criminal.
Had a “didn’t do much “ day. Chiropractor, some food shopping and finished preparing the French Onion soup … onions caramelized overnight in crockpot . Will have a few meals. Usually i let it set a day but couldn’t wait n had a mug today
Judy your daughter’s charcuterie spread sounds really awesome. She obviously loves to cook and is good at it
Have my to do list…kinda like a wish list… for tomorrow. Cold next few days n want to just stay home. You northern folk are getting a lions share of winter woes!!! Juls(mrs mayor) is enroute home now from visiting son in NC. Their whole family drove down to be with Elijah and his family for the weekend. Her last couple hour commute in testy weather. Shes following son n his family(5 kids)!and dog tandem. Other two kids and fam driving separately.
Seriously good luck with the prostrate issue.
I facilitated a prostrate cancer support group in Ohio for about 15 years. Hard issues and choices for men and their partners.
We started small maybe a dozen men and spouses/GFs. We grew. We were under wing of Cancer Society which walked lockstep with the AMA
We were to only do traditional/accepted “stuff”
We didnt
We had guest speakers from many alternate treatment disciplines. Many men admitted to doing them but afraid to voice prior.
I said that was enough of that! Our goal was to help, heal, support, share whats worked and not. We were definitely at odds with ACS & AMA. But noone ever said a word. While other groups had 6-10 people in attendance we had 50-70
We expanded invitations to other cancers -not just prostate cancer
As far as i noted the cancer society did nothing other that give our location n time of meeting.
I brought refreshments every meeting. Other brought drinks to share or a plate of hor dors , cookies etc
So many stories of success. It was wonderful
Then come covid
Sharing your memes!
Interesting...thanx...so far, no mention of cancer...course i did not have any biopsies done. Just a TURP to relieve bladder constriction.
The upside of dentures is this:
You can send them to be fixed and YOU stay home!
(back home, you can put on the old pair you loved
the best, that are “Not a good fit anymore.”)
PHOOEY!
*evil grin*
