Arm still sore, but I just carry on. I think I have a problem in that I can’t seem to just sit down without picking up the ol’ needles. Lol I guess it could be worse. I could be hooked on other kinds of needles.
I did get my Christmas sweaters finished - I have a lady’s large sweater to make in the new year for someone’s birthday. That one may require a round or two of Ibuprofen now and again lol. So the knitting Empire is still intact, albeit in slower production.
Cute Memes Cotton! Thank you! I completely agree that a significant medical event gives one a powerful perspective on whats really important.
Thank you also for posting pix (Post 2173)
My commentary
Me with another lady. This was our GOP Christmas party. I met Tilda for first time. Her daughter in law does my hair. They (my hair stylist)do chickens - bigly. 50,000! They produce eggs for Perdue. Hormone n drug free. The eggs are hatched by Perdue to raise chickens that produce eggs to sell. Sounds very complicated to me. Tilda’s husband is a Pastor . Ive known him a few years
Pix of Panther stretched out. She has a huge tail. Comparable to the ones my persians had. She likes to be groomed. Is a lot of fun and a great addition to our family
Book shelf. Since Ive been here my books n Dvd/BluRays have been in boxes This shelf unit has 5 shelfs. Shown are upper. In front of lower shelfs are more boxes with more Movies and books. Ill be hopefully getting a five shelf revolving tower to complete movies. . Still needing here a 5 drawer dresser. Not big hardwood heavy. Light weight and Goodwill being my source. Using bins. I have a wooden carved chest from India to yet get in room. Its in Ohio. This will be linen storage primarily. (Bins now again)No closets or shelving here has been challenging
Pix is me. My parents commissioned painting of my brother and me when we were 21
This unit was a DIY from Amazon and a bear to assemble.
The small kitchen table that has replaced my room studio from my past life. Its by a window and i work in morning for good light. With macular degeneration everything is darker
There is a set of shelving/bookcase under window where i keep my boxes of beads and findings. Had to relinquish top shelf to Panther to sleep in sun and watch outdoors
Im still in bed with Panther on me
Good pics. Nice hairdo, Dolly. I see your bead collection there as well. I must say that I wouldn’t do well with that “EAT” sign at my place. I’d be very obedient lol. Quite the collection on books, cds, dvds.....you’d never be without something to read or watch! Who’s the big framed picture? A singer or relative.....must be someone you admire a lot. Your mother?
You have sure learned how to utilize every space! Good for you.
Pix is me. Not vanity esp but just trying to keep the few things from my past
I had forgotten about 6years ago i with help of friend Bruce removed many items from the home and they’ve been in my friend Mikes outbuilding. Wish i had saved more but this was my pre surgery time snd i could barely walk ten feet without gasping for air…. Short if breath understatement. I had both my and brothers portrait. Gave him his. Not sure the eventual fate of this pix
I have a dilemma. I have a box of Skor bars in my Amazon cart. I don’t much care for chocolate, but I do love Skor bars. Trying not to order it, but I feel I’m going to fail lol.
Everything is OK until 1/1/26, so click “place your order” NOW. You don’t have much time left.
Lol well thanks for that encouragement, but I just moved it to “save for later.” I’ll let you know if that changes during the night while I’m up killing time.
...
In reading his chart they have taken him off of the Suboxin and Gabapentin which they seem to think is the cause of him not breathing deep enough and making his mental condition weird when his Co2's build up. So for pain they are putting him on low dose Oxycodone as needed.
Myself I have been having horrible head pressure sinus buildup from all the wind we have been having. There has been a lot of rain and after each rain we get the wind.
Judy, I loved all the sweaters in the pics you sent me on Messenger. I can understand why your shoulder has been hurting. And Chocolate! You keep that Amazon order. I can bypass most sweets but not chocolate.
Dolly, I enjoyed seeing the pictures and your hairdo. I can't imagine having to put up with all the mice. That kitten will be a big help.
Cotton, I am glad to hear that you are recovering quite well. I get a kick out of some of the meme's.
Jemian, sorry to hear you are suffering. I don't know how you do it with having to travel so far. Do you think you will ever come back to the states and stay permanent? How is your father doing? Did you say he is going to be 100?
MsBehavin, how are you doing? I know you have COPD also. It is the pits. My son's is really bad with the asbestosis along with the emphesema. Doesn't burning a wood stove exacerbate your COPD?
Glad to hear your husbands surgery went well. What kind of surgery was it?
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
Top picture as I am.
Bottom picture with some AI enhancement that my daughter did of me.

Hello there Spunky!
Good to hear from you, although very upsetting that your son is suffering. Has he continued with the non-smoking? I sure hope so. I truly hope that taking him off of those two medications will help - time will tell. What a worry for you.
Wind seems to be bad this year here as well. We’ve had lots of snow, but it’s been followed by rain each time, so the fields are not snow-covered and bright, but brown and bleak looking. Ice rinks are not doing well, either here on the farm or over at my son’s house.
My arm is killing me, but Ibuprofen helps, plus I am finished all of the sweaters I needed done for Christmas. I have one on the go for sale, but I can take my time with it. I just can’t sit down by the wood stove (fake) without picking up the knitting needles lol. I have an adult lady’s one to start in the new year - that’s going to take awhile.
The pics are lovely, Spunky. BOTH of them. What are you doing for Christmas? I hope your son is part of the Christmas festivities and that everyone enjoys them.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas, and all the best for the new year!
Of sweet Spunky! Thanks for checking in. And i love your pix! You’re just as happy and cute as i pictured - and Spunky too😊
Just heard disturbing news. A man in adjacent county age 73 fell snd was mauled /killed by pack of dogs owned by neighbor
Shes charged with numerous things and in jail
Disturbing to me as two days ago i fell in back yard and neighbors dogs came at me barking fiercely. I was raking leaves and hit them off .
Why did i fall? Slipped on pile of dog crap and landed in more. Injured my knee where the fall impact centered. Also my arm. Both still sore. Our yard is a land mine of dog poop. It hurt like crazy to fend them off.
They’ve also again destroyed the two raised beds ive beds working on
There is a leash law but they laugh at this ..still proud he got away with stealing my van and a silly dog issue is nothing to them
I’m so sorry you’ve had such a tough time. Along with your son of course. I hope they figure something out, maybe the change of medications will make a difference
I hate the wind, and Desert Wind is the worst. Seems to be stronger there with lots of stuff in it that causes problems. I remember walking to school in El Paso and having my legs pelted with sand going 50 miles an hour, it felt like.
You are adorable in both pictures! You don’t need ai, although it does make some interesting changes. Love the lollipops. And candy canes
I have a hard time watching TV or just sitting without doing something with my hands. Crocheting used to be fun. Maybe I should take that up again.
I should have realized there would be a Christmas rush with the sweater orders, hopefully you get a bit of a break through the year. So you can heal!
Those are called Heath here aren’t they? If they’re the same ones they are so good. You deserve a Christmas present!
