Awwww that’s too bad lol.
I thought you had received word from Dolly that the turkey looked and smelled so good that she could no longer resist and decided to scrap the whole vegan thing. Ah well. Maybe next year!
Glad to hear you’re starting to feel a bit better. Also glad that you got to enjoy a nice little Thanksgiving meal. Good that your guest took another invite - going through the fuss of making a meal may not sound like a lot, but when you’re supposed to be recovering, it can really set you back.
No turkey
Vegetarian 45 years
It is an iconic moment. You rarely see him expose his angry face like that, and you can also see the suffering in his eyes.
He KNOWS where the buck stops.......
Cotton, I remember a couple years ago for Thanksgiving when you came home and announced to your husband that you were gonna be having gee, what was it 6 to 8 more people that you just invited. I think some came and Some did not but I thought that was so sweet that you at the last minute opened your home.
I was wondering what you all were gonna do. The past times when I’ve cooked for just Mom I made a turkey breast. Also I put stuffing underneath it, mashed potatoes and made gravy
she had a few meals afterwards I put turkey on salad for her made creamed turkey on toast and of course the traditional sandwiches.
Punched out some chores and other things this morning and now resting my back . Jeff is still Sleeping. I worked on my beading a bit this morning but was having a little bit too much help from Panther .
all those cute little balls are too hard to resist.
Not going snywhere today or tomorrow
Sunday taking a tincture class . 10 of us. Teacher a GOP friend. Horticulturist raises bees, chickens on acreage. She was journalist for horticultural and other magazines. . Ive bought salves etc from her that are wonderful. Shes about 6 miles away on acreage but will teach at contry extrnsion office in Danbury. Has a teen daughter but tragically list a two year old boy to cancer several years back

Oh turkey breast on top of stuffing, covered in gravy with mashed potatoes sounds soooooo good. Our Canadian Thanksgiving was early October and we didn’t have turkey. I miss it, listening to all the turkey talk these past few days. Maybe I’ll get one of those turkey breasts. I saw on x that someone actually shaped their sourdough bread like a turkey and it looked pretty good!
Steak - 47 joins Ulysses S. Grant, Harry S. Truman, and Ronald Reagan in eating his steak well done. 47 adds catsup.
Alright, that’s it. Anyone who eats a steak “well done” is a psychopath.
I can’t support this.
And, adding KETCHUP? What is it, Heinz (Kerry)?
for those uninitiated, this is a sarcasm post. Mostly. Except for the steak well done - that’s just meat abuse.
Steak abuse — 😂 good term!
My son likes rib eye MR - M. I do in cast iron on stove top. No Ketsup for him except on burgers
47 and i are alike in many ways Dietary not one
Well then there is net worth, clothing expenditures(doubt he frequents thrift shops), travel experiences, one on one contacts with heads of state
Just some minor differences
Haha! I think the only thing I have in common with the president would be his mother’s meatloaf sandwich. I think I’d like that lol.
45 years, that’s awesome. I admire your resolved to not encourage more animal cruelty.
I keep thinking I’ll try it again.
After I get over my bout of allergies, right now, I can’t have gluten, dairy, nuts, and a variety of vegetables. Night, shades, cucumbers, bananas, cantaloupe, very weird things that are actually related and you wouldn’t think they would be.
It’s been a challenge to cook.
But I think now that I have mastered this, sort of, I can do without meat. Don’t think I can do without eggs, milk, or cheese so there is that.
Tincture class, I wouldn’t have even thought there was such a thing. Let us know what you end up making and bringing home.
I’m sure next year maybe even hopefully Christmas I’ll find people to invite home. There’s always somebody that doesn’t have family, and would end up alone otherwise. Quite a few people actually. It’s sad how many people don’t even notice this and don’t care, as long as they have their comfort and plans. I find it especially ironic at Christmas time. I don’t think ironic is the right word but it’s the more polite one.
So it sounds like panther is her name? Not just her description.
I think it fits with her hunting abilities.
Paul and i joined his brother and family in Hamilton for Canadian Thanksgiving. we would pick up his father in St Catherines on way. Lots of family each time and a lot of food! His brother had a vacay house on other side of Ontario near Lake St Clair.
My friend Mark and i went to the Shakespeare festival in Stratford twice a summer. Stayed 6 days each time n saw all plays snd were super tourists and explorers. We stayed at a B & B in Woodstock. I searched Google for it.. not there any more i guess. Cant recall name but i would recognize it. it. it was an old mansion. Very expensive. A young man maybe 30 and his mother ran it. Only three suites. Back 20 years ago it was about 275/night. We stayed there the first time the first season they opened. His mother was an extraordinary cook.
