My sister lives in Surprise and said she goes out to sweep patio at 4:30am as it is just too hot otherwise!

a slow , slow, painful death while starving to death seems right!
Agree....the NY summer heat can be *almost* as humid as SE TX summer heat ... sometimes.
Their a/c systems just aren’t set up to handle the high humidity/heat combo.
With the 10% humidity ... you can at least get a bit of relief in the shade...or, as you say, with a breeze.

Two children of a Fort Bliss soldier died in flash flooding Tuesday night in New Mexico, and the soldier and his wife remain hospitalized with serious injuries.
The children were 4 and 7 years old.
“Our hearts are heavy with grief following this devastating loss,” said Brig. Gen. Rory Crooks, deputy commander of the 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss. “The entire Fort Bliss community extends our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy.”
Ruidoso NM was hit with horrific wildfires, followed by horrific floods, just last year?
So many of the tree coverage is gone (from the fires) that the flood waters now have hardly anything to stop them.
It got so hot here this morning, we awakened to thick FOG. The air was so thick we could hardly breathe. It’s still 90 degrees outside.

What we’ve had, over the past few months, are daily coverages of a hazy, yellowish looking cover.
I don’t say cloud cover because of the density and color of what we’ve seen.
It starts out like that, then, we’ll later have the heavy rains.

I read several posts from people in the Hill Country who said the rain didn’t even look or feel like normal rain. It has a different feel and color to it.
No idea if even true, but, strange that several posted about it.
