Iran said on Friday that it has rejected “several” calls for negotiations from the United States after President Donald Trump gave a two-week deadline for his decision on possibly striking the Islamic Republic, leaving the door open for talks with Tehran.
Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in an address on state television, “Americans want to negotiate and have sent messages several times, but we clearly said that as long as this aggression doesn’t stop, there’s no place for talk of dialogue,” the New York Post reported. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, rejected Trump’s call for the country to surrender on Wednesday as Israel continues to pound Iranian nuclear facilities and missile launchers from the sky and take out the regime’s military leaders.
“Wise individuals who know Iran, its people and its history never speak to this nation with the language of threats, because the Iranian nation is not one to surrender,” Khamenei said.
“Americans should know that any military involvement by the U.S. will undoubtedly result in irreparable damage to them,” he added.
Iran escalated the conflict with Israel on Thursday morning, striking a major Israeli hospital. President Trump said on Thursday that he would decide whether to attack Iran “within the next two weeks.”
“Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,” the president said in a statement shared by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

How about we start with the basics. Why do you believe they were building nukes? Some intelligence ‘expert’ say so? did you see it with your eyes? Or are we expected to just exercise blind faith in the same people who lied over and over again to have suddenly found the light of truth?
Extend your recall to the news that Israel will not attack the nuke facility being manned by Russia. Does that sound like Israel is hostile to Russia? Israel cannot help that Russia is so poorly equipped to fight a war of their own making.
But, Mighty Russia will rise up and produce its own weapons now. Or maybe just ask the CHICOMS And NORKS to step up.

We in America like to call everyone we don’t like “thugs.” Most of the time it’s BS.
Iran really is governed by thugs. You’re dealing with a violent regime that operates on the bottom rung of Maslow’s hierarchy. You’re dealing with a culture and people that are used to oppression and violence. It’s in their streets, how they deal with people that don’t follow the rules, women that step out of line... it’s pervasive. It’s a culture with a low value for life, i.e. life is cheap.
When dealing with people like that, appealing to morals, international conventions and treaties, humanity are all just seen as weakness.
When they negotiate, they are in a position of weakness and buying time.
If they were in a dominant position, they won’t care to talk.
The problem is, if you negotiate with them, you’re playing their game and giving them what they want. You might appease people in the West by not being perceived as a war monger, but you’re going to long term fail to meet the true objective of preventing nuclear proliferation (our and every one in the West - true objective).
Iran with a nuke is an untenable situation.
If Iran has a nuke, you’re dealing with a leadership that has a high probability of using it even in the short term. They are NOT like the Russians who are pragmatic, measured, strategic thinking, doctrinal and with a western/Christian values based underpinning. We want to trash the Russians today, but they are not like we want to pretend them to be.
As soon as Iran has a nuke and a way to deliver it, expect Iran to become far more beligerant. As bad as they are now (Hezbollah, Houthis, etc), with a nuke they will not fear escalation and become even worse!
Israel is doing the Wests dirty work and if they can’t stop Irans progress towards a nuke, we need to intervene.
***As to Tucker and folks like him. I respect the cause, peace is a noble thing to pursue. I respect the idea of wanting to be consistent. The truth rests in consistency. But this is a case of apples vs. oranges. Iran and Russia do not have the same cause for conflict, they are not the same type of leadership, not the same cultures. Do not obfuscate Iran and the threat they pose with the Ukraine/Russian conflict.
Think of Iran like this: Imagine if an LA street gang like the Cryps or Bloods, or a prison gang like the Aryan Brotherhood got their hands on a nuke. That should scare the shit out of you, same if Iran gets their hands on a nuke.
