You’re seriously insinuating that people who think the word “Juneteenth” is stupid are RACIST? Hahahahaha
Here’s a list of other stupid portmanteaus-

Go back to DUh.
Portmanteau’s are illiterate gibberish?
Not necessarily.
They’re ignorant primarily.
People who think “Juneteenth” is a stupid word are ignorant? About what?
Portmanteaus.
In our small city south of Orlando, there was regularly scheduled pickup of garbage today. So much for “Juneteenth.”
You: Freepers are “ignorant” about portmanteaus.
I just gave you a link to one article about portmanteaus that are stupid (like “Juneteenth”). We aren’t ignorant about how they came up with the word. The word is just stupid.
Now run along. You won’t be getting any more dopamine triggers from me.
I just checked our solid waste disposal service and they were closed today. Midwest college town full of radical left wing extremists.
Words falling out of favor has zero to do with ignorant FReepers.
Enjoy the night.
“Then-Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) voted against the holiday, saying it would result in $1 billion in lost productivity.”
Keep Memorial day
Keep Independence day
Keep Veterans day
Possibly Keep Thanksgiving day
Every thing else cost billions too...
Religious holidays are in effect mercantile holidays. If individuals really want the day off, use vacation days. Retailers aren’t off on federal days. Why should govt employees have the freebies? And still get paid? That’s highway robbery!
“Juneteenth” sounds to my ear to be a completely illiterate rendering of a day

No. “Juneteenth” is illiterate gibberish. Apparently, you like illiterate gibberish. Thats a “you problem”.
DoodleBob, thank you.
My good sir, we must be acquainted on that other platform but I am at complete loss to identify you.
Cheers!
Thank you. Tough day for the family.
If activist blacks and woke white liberals want to take a day off and celebrate June 19, Malcolm X's birthday, or George Floyd's birthday, they are free to do so. That doesn't mean that they need to make it everyone else's concern.
