As US President Donald Trump mulls striking Iran's nuclear facilities, one of America's "doomsday planes" made a flight to Joint Base Andrews in Washington on Tuesday night. According to the New York Post, the E-4B Nightwatch - a plane designed to protect the Secretary of Defence and other national security officials and keep the government operating in the time of nuclear war - was spotted by flight trackers. The aircraft departed from Bossier City, Louisiana, on Tuesday evening and landed in Maryland around 4 hours later, after a long, winding route.
What is a "doomsday plane"? A "doomsday plane" is a highly specialised aircraft operated by the US Air Force and serves as a National Airborne Operations Centre (NAOC). The US has four E-4Bs that serve as an airborne command centre for the President, Secretary of Defence and the Chairs of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to ensure continued critical command, control and communication in case of emergencies.

Ominous…….
For those in Rio Linda, it can’t survive the BLAST of a nuclear blast. Rather, it can survive the EMP and radiation it produces. And regarding radiation, only to a degree.
I doubt it could withstand a nuclear blast.
Looks just line any other Boeing 747, which is made of the same materials as other 747s.
It is over the vague threat of an event Iran will cause that ‘won’t be forgotten for hundreds of years.’

More fear porn. Gotta keep the shee freaking out.
Old news.
Landed nearly 48 hours ago.

Nuclear Blasts put off an EMP. This is hardened against EMPs.
I view this as sending Iran a clear message we’re about to destroy them.
Trump is going “or else” one last time.
Our entire nuclear deterrent force, except for seven Trident submarines always at sea, can be taken out by 4-5 megaton yield ICBM warheads detonated at about 50-60 miles altitude.
For yeas underground bunkers have been on back order and not just for blasts fear as some of the public are going feral as in how things like the ICE and no king crazies are going.
Many miss their mommy much.
lol. I like that.
This means nothing. Doomsday plane(s) fly every single day.
I’ve always wondered why Baton Rogue/Shreveport, LA is so popular for long range bombers. Must be the flat land and relatively quick access to the Gulf of America?
Yeah when I read that headline my first thought was Bull s...

Longest flight time of ICBMs coming over the north pole is as far into the deep American South as you can get. There is a reason SAC bases were in South/Central Texas and LA. You can still see some of the Nike Hercules SAM sites in Austin , San Antonio area’s they were to give the bombers time to get airborne before they got saturated with incoming ICBMs.
The USA expected to have the Gulf of America free of SLBM which can hit in under 6 minutes flight time. Those would be coming from the Atlantic Ocean farther offshore here again longer flight times than East Coast bases Texas and LA are as far South and far enough away from the East Coast to get the bombers airborne and hopefully out of blast range. The Russians took a different approach to this they decided with their SS18 monsters that could carry 30+ warheads to pattern bomb a grid around each base hoping to knock the planes down with EMP or X-ray the crews to death. This would have lead to massive destruction to the area under those patterns bit hey it’s the Russians they do city busting as SOP.
