As much as it’s horrifying to watch a city burn and the lives of cops and federal agents threatened by violent protesters, there is a silver lining to the last several days of rioting in Los Angeles. The desperate attempts to spin what’s happening do a fairly good job of illustrating what’s wrong with the political discourse in this country — and further demonstrate that the dishonest sophistry used to excuse violent riots in 2020 is no longer remotely persuasive.
Still it’s worth classifying and breaking down the specific arguments and talking points that have been employed by the Democrat Party-media-industrial complex since the riots began. When those arguments are examined in isolation, it becomes even clearer why attempts to justify the violence in L.A. are falling on deaf ears.
Misleading Attempts to ‘Contextualize’
Since the riots began, there have been the usual attempts to selectively present the violence and protests in such a way as to downplay what’s happening. For some reason, media figures have been obsessed with pointing out that the rioting is only occurring in a small portion of L.A. Here’s a local news reporter in L.A.:
CNN’s Brian Stelter, along with many others, has also been at pains to emphasize this same point:
The Associated Press chimed in by emphasizing that “much of the city saw no violence.”
So what? It’s true that the violence and protests have occurred over a small part of L.A., but what’s the point? L.A. is a vast, sprawling urban area, and regardless of whether the violence is confined to the downtown, ordinary Americans find burning cars, looting stores, and throwing large rocks at cops from freeway overpasses utterly unacceptable no...

It was "just a handful" of violent terrorists, as Martha Radak would say.
“much of the city saw no violence.”

, 1938.
and if you live in that 1 square mile?
1 square mile is a pretty big crime spree
The Founders did not mention democracy in The Declaration Of Independence nor in the Constitution because they believed that history taught that democracy would dissolve into mob rule and the current spate of DemonRAT instigated riots proves that point.
Pure democracy is 2 wolves and 1 chicken voting on what to have for lunch. A republic has protections for minorities. Our Pledge of Allegiance says “And to the republic for which it stands.” Perhaps our young people can learn why we are a republic.

What I find fascinating is that the backers, both foreign and domestic, the heads, and the command structure has been smoked out by the Administration through this No Nazi, oops, No Bolsheviks, er, No Kings protest.
The left just went full tilt and bore with this, and I wonder if this wasn’t a feint just to expose them and bring them to the surface.
There was a big protest in Santa Ana last night? I was waiting for them to move into peaceful and upscale Irvine next door and then into Mission Viejo. I stayed up all night in case some small group of thugs came our way for unrelated home invasions. That's where the danger is for the suburbs. My cul-de-sac was prepared if you get my drift. We have all talked rear perimeter and front-facing attempted invasions.
Guess I'll have to collect a stash of rocks and stones.
That's exactly what they are trying to provoke. They are searching for their George Floyd.
So the Messicans have only one square mile where LAPD allows them to shoot off fireworks? Wow! That isn’t much.
Here’s the thing: that 1 square mile contains the Federal building, the Federal courthouse, the Federal detention center, LA City Hall, FOUR California Superior court buildings, the Cathedral, the LA County Hall of Administration, the LA County Jail, and thousands of tax-paying small/midsized/large businesses - the riots have essentially shut down most of SoCal government.
Question: Why did Newsome file his petition re power over the National Guard in San Francisco, and not LA? (Hint: because the LA Court system is broken)
“So the Messicans have only one square mile where LAPD allows them to shoot off fireworks? Wow! That isn’t much.”
Thanks to Trump sending in the National Guard. Winning!

Just a few years ago, perhaps 10, the liberals were campaigning against suburbs with restricted access. Not gates, just a lack of through streets and things like cul-de-sacs. Few walkable greenways that restricted or no direct access to backyards. Claimed they were designed to keep minorities out.
I don’t get the impression that democrats are trying to gain voters, but anarchist soldiers for a civil war.
Every federal "judge" in the Northern District of California at San Francisco is a Democrat stooge.
It got assigned to The Ultimate Stooge - Stephen "Lefty StoogeBoy" Breyer's Lefty brother, Charley the DNC Stooge.
Charley made up some twaddle so he could rule against Orange Man Bad.
Hopefully they will learn that one way or another.
>>>Every federal “judge” in the Northern District of California at San Francisco is a Democrat stooge.<<<
True.
There also many liberal judges in the Central District of California that could have heard the petition. But being inside the square mile and having a riot literally outside the Federal Courthouse, well even libs would reject the stupid petition.
Apples and oranges. I'm talking about an invasion force coming down our street. With prior intel, we will park our cars at the opening of the cul-de-sac. Establish a perimeter behind our homes and deal with them if they keep comming.
I really don't believe they are looking for a Floyd scenario. Their objective will be home invasion which has happended in this area before. However, they may time it with a city protest or riot.
Didn't hear about that. Still, we're prepared.
