The California State Bar has reportedly opened an investigation into feminist attorney Gloria Allred's law firm over allegations it ignored the wishes of some of its clients, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
The allegations stem from women who told the outlet that some of their wishes were ignored after hiring the firm to represent them in sexual misconduct cases and that they were pressured to sign settlement agreements before they were ready.
Allred and her law firm Allred, Maroko & Goldberg have denied the allegations, stating that the firm has represented thousands of satisfied clients over the past 50 years, and has always acted ethically.
“We are proud to defend our record of protecting, asserting, and vindicating the rights of women and minorities, and we will not be deterred by unjustified accusations which seek to discredit us,” she told the outlet. “We will not bow down to kings or The Wall Street Journal.”

Would be great to see that skank go down.
“We will not bow down to kings or The Wall Street Journal.”
Isn’t Gloria like 80 years old, by now? Will she be protesting in the STREETS tomorrow, against King/President Trump? In heels, pearls and a designer suit?
*SMIRK*
She wants to show that she is down with the struggle!
LOL!
I’d TOTALLY be, ‘down with the struggle’ from my Penthouse Apartment overlooking Central Park, too!
I mean, how can you NOT be? ;)
Well I sure hope they investigate her with the same intensity and thoroughness they do any male attorneys.
You know, to be fair and equal.
Agree
Oh puhleez. They took the money didn’t they? One of the offices I was working in had a guy my colleague got a ton of money for threatening to blow up the building. Yes, the bar investigated. He had all the paperwork, showing he sent a letter saying there was an offer to settle, that if he went to trial he could get more, he could get less, he could get nothing, he could settle, the choice was his, if he wanted to settle, sign here; he had all the paperwork showing the agreed upon division, the copy of the check, the amount the firm kept, the amount the client received, the advice to consult a financial advisor, the advice not to make any big purchases, the advice to invest.
Bar found nothing wrong. My colleague did everything right. Not his fault the client went and spent all the money on crap and now wished he had more and made a bar complaint. Happens all the time.
Probably what happened here.
What, 80 is not too old. How old is too old? Better watch out. There are plenty of 80 year olds still kicking.
For years I’ve had the attitude that if I’m a juror in your case and she’s your lawyer then you lose! And that’s regardless of how much the evidence might weigh in your favor.
Yah...but the problem is that, typically,it’s a guy who’s kicking the bedroom nightstand thinking that it’s conspiring to kidnap him.
lol
I’m 65 and 80 doesn’t look old to me...anymore, LOL!
Gloria is a piece of work, for sure, 80 or not!
