Israel has launched what it called “preemptive strikes” against Iran and a state of emergency has been declared in Israel, according to the country’s Defense Minister Israel Katz. “Following the State of Israel’s preemptive strike against Iran, a missile and drone attack against the State of Israel and its civilian population is expected in the immediate future” Katz said in a statement. Iranian state media outlet IRNA reported repeated explosions could be heard in Tehran.

The IDF has confirmed the launch of a major aerial operation targeting Iran’s nuclear program.
Israeli Air Force jets are striking dozens of sites across Iran linked to its nuclear infrastructure and military facilities. The operation is named “Strength of a Lion.”
According to the IDF, Iran has accumulated enough enriched uranium to build several nuclear bombs within days, and the strikes are aimed at neutralizing what it calls an “imminent threat.”
The sirens heard across Israel earlier were a preemptive alert issued by the IDF in anticipation of a possible Iranian response.

That’s my understanding, too. The Israelis simply don’t have bombs that would come close to reaching that deep (or aircraft that can deliver them), and it would take multiple hits at each site from US heavy bombers to get to them — and even that might very well not knock them out. Plus they are on shock absorbing platforms which can withstand a 6.0 earthquake.
Granted the video coverage isn’t extensive with the fixed Tehran cameras. But what I do see is that the Muzzies aren’t seeing the Israeli planes as I didn’t see SAMS going up to intercept. (F35 ?)
I could be wrong and the Muzzies will get trigger happy in future bombing runs for no other reason than trying to save face. But I don’t think they will be aiming at anything in particular. They will probably kill more of their own with SAM debris.

As I look at various news services, I am speculating that Mossad was an integral part of the explosions in Teheran that took out the Iranian leadership. This actually may be bigger than the pager work from last year.
The go order for Hamas to attack Israel we now know was given on October 3rd, 2023. So its possible they had a heads up today with Iran and their plans.
