The US Supreme Court on Thursday allowed President Trump to fire labor board members in a 6-3 decision.
Citing Humphrey’s Executor, liberal Justices Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson dissented.
“Because the Constitution vests the executive power in the President, see Art. II, §1, cl. 1, he may remove without cause executive officers who exercise that power on his behalf, subject to narrow exceptions recognized by our precedents, see Seila Law LLC v. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, 591 U. S.197, 215−218 (2020),” the Supreme Court’s decision said.
The high court said there would be more harm to President Trump in denying his right to remove the Biden-appointed officials.

Well gee, that’s magnanimous of them.
Excellent!
Now we are talking....
Lots of other little boards and commissions to be dealt with next....
The only way to convince them they are not royalty is to fire them.
More winning.
Very.
Letting him do his job, how nice of them.

It is so nice of them to allow the President to do the job he was elected to do.
The goal is not to stop Trump but to slow him down until the Midterms. Then the Democrats will attempt to impeach him so they’ll turn him into lame duck.
This whole talk of the “Supreme Court allows” is crap. They are not in charge of the government. It needs to stop. They need to be put back in theor narrow box.
Uh Oh, now they just need a district court to step in and stop this.
Those guys are the strongest!
Should I even ask Yogi who the 3 were?
The involvement of the courts in The Executive Branch is unprecedented. This cannot and will not continue.
Another posted article on this said the decision simply stayed the lower court ruling blocking Trump from firing the person, until the Appeals Court rules and the SC hears the full case if it goes to the SC. That’s my understanding, anyway.
Words mean things.
yep.
Lucky for them the guy elected by a majority of the people gets the most power because We Say So.
“However, Wilcox asked the court’s entire slate of judges to weigh in (en banc) and the court voted 7-4 to reinstate her.
The Supreme Court on Thursday sided with President Trump and said he can fire the labor board members without cause”.
So then is Wilcox reinstated or fired at this point?
Wait until a district court judge overrules this ... /s
I wouldn’t be surprised 😯
Finally, respondents Gwynne Wilcox and Cathy Harris contend that arguments in this case necessarily implicate the constitutionality of for-cause removal protections for members of the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors or other members of the Federal Open Market Committee. See Response of Wilcox in Opposition to App. for Stay 2−3, 27−28; Response of Harris in Opposition to App. for Stay 3, 5−6, 16−17, 36, 40. We disagree. The Federal Reserve is a uniquely structured, quasi-private entity that follows in the distinct historical tradition of the First and Second Banks of the United States. See Seila Law, 591 U. S., at 222, n. 8.
