Sanctions have been in place on Syria for 46 years.
It's time and I applaud Donald Trump. Let's encourage Syria not to go full on Sharia law.
I’m hoping President Trump is working on some chess moves with this Islamofascistnazi. The “leader” of what they still call Syria has 4-5-6 names. At different times he has been a member of AL-Queda, ISIS, Islamic Jihad, and on and on. He is trying to eliminate all Druze. If it wasn’t for Israel, all the Druze in Syria would be dead.
As often happens, Israel saw the imminent fall of Assad. Right after Assad fled, Israel blew up much of the Syrian arsenal. Iran is trying to re-supply Hezbollah in Lebanon with arms shipments through Syria. Israel will try to destroy these also.
I have no problem giving them a second chance.

I don’t know about this. I’ve heard a lot of reports indicating Syria is now even worse off than it was under Assad.

Israel kept constantly attacking the Syrian army while it was fighting Isis and al qeida. Israel never bombed ISIS Syrian rebels even once. They wanted to overthrow Assad and install a Saudi approved Sunni.
Israel is no hero in Syria.
And that speech about the end of neocons was attended by a who’s who of big tech oligarchs, CEOs of blackrock, Palantir, Amazon, Coca Cola, Google etc. Hell, even that pig Reid Hoffmann was invited.
That was a globalist extravaganza and they are all applauding. They all want Saudi and gulf money.
No, they want to expand their businesses in a new direction.
The Europe business is in trouble from stagnation and obsolescence. New territories and growth are desirable and the Arabian Peninsula is a great place to invest and grow.
Yeah… they want Saudi bucks doing business there. And the ferried the business ties, the more Saudi money will influence our politics here at home. Epic city projects and more Saudi immigration is coming in the next decade.

Trump got fooled by Syria’s new Islamic caliph.
Syria's president Ahmed Al-Shara is a former Al Quaeda affiliate who fought alongside various terrorist cells. He doesn't deserve a chance at anything.
A policy is either good or bad on its own merits, not on the basis of whether you like the guy implementing them. This would have been a bad move if it were done by Bush or Biden, and it's just as bad a move by Trump. The mindset "if he does it, it's OK" is just mindless groupthink.
