The Associated Press complains that President Trump is calling their political allies “Communists”.
For years, President Donald Trump blamed “communists” for his legal and political troubles. Now, the second Trump administration is deploying that same historically loaded label to cast his opponents — from judges to educators — as threats to American identity, culture and values.
In 2025, communism wields big influence in countries such as China, Vietnam, North Korea and Cuba. But not the United States.
“The core of communism is the belief that governments can do better than markets in providing goods and services. There are very, very few people in the West who seriously believe that,” said Raymond Robertson of the Texas A&M University Bush School of Government & Public Service. “Unless they are arguing that the government should run U.S. Steel and Tesla, they are simply not communists.”
Very few people believe “governments can do better than markets in providing goods and services”?
That’s literally the mission statement of the current Democratic Party. Why else is it arguing in favor of universal health care and has created countless government agencies to control markets?
The Dems are currently being driven by the DSA’s socialist movement whose candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders, is a socialist who argued that people didn’t really need 20 brands of deodorant.
And that’s in America. The West is even worse.
36% of Americans rate socialism positively. In the 18-24 category, nearly half want to see socialism in America. So much for the “very, very few people”.
And I rather suspect much of the AP, which is currently lying about the matter, would agree.

Just another reason why very, very,very few people get their news from AP and other MSM outlets.
But almost all Democrats believe in the politics of class envy. It has even expanded in to race, sex and class envy.
Everybody saw a gut full of it January 6, 2021.

We don’t believe in Communism, we just believe the government should run everything.
As my good friend says, “ Not all democrats are communists, but all communists in America are now democrats”.
Democrats are quite often moochers and vote buyers. They are rarely Marxists nowadays.
Republican politicians tend to be the Marxists:

Let’s get this right. Obama taught classes at Columbia focussing on Saul Alynski and his rules for radicals. Hillary Clinton did her thesis on Saul... Go figure.

I would venture to say this group is comprised of women, kids foreign born (or their parents were), or the group of morons that attended ivy league type schools. Let’s not forget the trojan horses sent here and spread Soros bucks to promote this crap.
Many democrats want to replace capitalist ‘robber barons’ with government administrators.
Whether they consciously acknowledge it or not, they ARE communists.
They don’t look at it as a transfer of power from people to the state, but every time they want to “fix” something, that’s their solution.
The leftists in this country ARE, most definitely, Marxists in every stripe. While they are more nazi than Stalinist, in that they don’t intend to RUN US Steel, but they WILL control it. It’s a very slight difference.
It doesn’t matter how one re-names it, leftism is what it is- government from the top, down, and a two-caste cultural system. The democrats love it.
It moves in by using force, intimidation and death and maintains its power the same way. If you are watching, even occasionally, you will see it play out just like Germany, circa 1920s, and every generation before that t/o human history- right down to the mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging brownshirts.
The playbook never changes.

Exactly right. The last two generations have not even been taught what the word “Communism” even is or means. So they have no clue that Liberalism, Progressivism, “Our Democracy” are all synonymous with Communism... The word Communism has been purposely left out of the equation altogether. So when they hear or read the word Communism they go blank and have absolutely no clue... So of course if you ask them they just are not going to know what they are even being asked in the first place.

Under communism, the government does not just run companies, it owns them.
