The headlines are the story AND the event. Then, there’s another. And another. Lots of nice headlines with words like ‘shocking’ and ‘breaking news’. You click away. Feel that nose ring being pulled?
Americans have short memory spans and are distracted easily. Who doesn’t know this?

they have cancelled future payments on ridiculous contracts;
they collapsed the huge money drain of USAID; they did same to Institute of Peace; they are stopping SS Medicaid payments to SS numbers of “people” over 100, etc. some of where they need to be has been blocked by courts. many agencies remain to be audited. some of it Congress has to officially rescind which is part of the Big Beautiful Bill. more to come. Musk was tasked with delivering as much as possible for 250th in July 2026. but perhaps DOGE will become a permane t watchdog.

I love how this vigorous muckraking crusade is being tied to the young, and I think the young see Musk as part of the younger newer age, this has to be helping create the right/republican party as a party of the now, of the modern era and such, it has to help with the young vote.

Bring on your idea of figuring how to use young eager beavers in other agencies to clear out cobwebs and entrenched corruption.

> Yes, finding it is one thing. Returing that money to the Treasury is another.<

There is no money to return. It hasn’t been borrowed yet. It’s just less dollars in the negative column to be borrowed.

The team said they had sent “lots of referrals” to the DOJ for criminal prosecution. Winnable cases aren’t built overnight.

The biggest win is exposing the corruption and swaying public opinion. It’s becoming harder and harder for thinking people to support the deMS-13 party anymore, or anyone who supports big government.

Don’t forget all the leftist “judges’ stalling the DOGE efforts....

Mr. Musk, I have two words for you: Baseline budgeting.

And that’s legal.

Sigh.

"we need justice, we need indictments we need prosecutions and sentencing."

That right there is ONLY thing that could come close to restoring my confidence in this stinking government. And I don't mean just the little guys, but the ones who are IN CHARGE of those organizations. Crooks, one and all..!

The team said they had sent “lots of referrals” to the DOJ for criminal prosecution. Winnable cases aren’t built overnight.

Winnable cases are not being built at all.

There aren't enough staffers to build them at DOJ. Bondi has dismissed a very large number of uncooperative people, or they have resigned for better opportunities in Democrat-controlled law firms. She has not been able to replace people with others she can trust. She also must deal with Democrat activist judges who simply will never convict another Democrat of any crimes. Cases brought in a DC district court? These are guaranteed losses.

She must be very careful to pick and choose cases for prosecution. She cannot go after all of them, or even most of them.

It is a difficult position for an executive. And I am not convinced that Bondi has the necessary skills or character for the job of prosecuting Democrats. She would have never been approved by Congress if she was a real direct threat to Democrats.

Nor does President Trump seem interested in prosecuting Democrats. His direction seems to be more in the way of cutting off the money to their supporters. That does seem to produce much faster results than years of court proceedings.

And we do not have time for years of court proceedings. Perhaps Trump is right in his choices (again).

There are a lot of people in the Federal government that are
sick of the waste. My younger brother retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Division of the Justice Department.

He stated that there were fellow employees he knew that took positions working out of the BOP DC office during Covid. Except, they worked remotely out of their house in PA. However, because they were working for the DC office they received a higher compensation due to a the cost of living allowance for DC. Even though they did not go into the office daily.

He said occasionally, they would have to go to DC for a meeting. Spend the night in a hotel or just drive in for the day and drive home.

This is just one example of the money wasted by our federal government.

Can someone please tell me HOW the word “receipt” was changed from a RECEIPT we get after paying for something to something else?

They speak here about receipts and it’s used repeatedly on the news as a piece of paper showing that something has been ORDERED!

When can we shut DC down? Better yet, obliterate the city from space. It’s the only way.

“”after paying for something to something else?””

OR used after receiving a letter or a document or a jury summons - whatever...but not something to HAPPEN in the future...

If Trump and Elon can weed out the exploiters and thieves and assist decent public servants with taking back control it’ll be a huge win for the good guys.

Yes you’re right. Musk and team have referred cases to the DOJ. Democrats have been running DC for decades - it’s time for them to learn ‘no one is above the law’...

Funny how the only federal employees being looked at are in the executive branch. What about all the staffers on the hill?

With all the fraud, waste, and abuse going on I also have to ask what do all the oversight committees on the Hill actually do? They should be held accountable as well.

I have no doubt there are leftist nurses and doctors. If there weren’t, “addadictomy” procedures would not be available.

You answered your own question.

The culture is left. The schools are left and Healthcare is in the left
