A very pleasant good Friday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Fatima for this morning's thread.

Well, they closed all of their parks at Waurika Lake due to increasing lake levels from the rain so instead, we went to the park by the project office instead.

Here is the Waurika Lake page. We're under a t-storm and flood watch through this morning and there's more storms to our West moving this way.

They may open the flood gatesat Waurika Lake soon. The city of Waurika has adivsed residents that there may be evacuations for some parts of town soon.

This is the area that could b evacuated. The Corp of Engineers is saying this would only happen if the lake level reach follod level.

Our town is Northwest of Waurika so we're OK in that regard. We'll see what happens.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Good grief! Things are really getting dicey in your area with all the storms and flooding. I hope they move out soon so the lake levels will drop back to normal and y’all can get back out to have some fun out there.

Gorgeous song with a beautiful message, which seems so very relatable ( at least to this humble heart).

Compliments on your fine taste in music. And I sincerely mean it👍🏻👏🏻🎵

As the 1950s turned into the 1960s, there were a number of popular songs featuring violent death, including The Long Black Veil, Springtime in Alaska, Take a Message to Mary, and One of Us. This inspired Bob Luman to reply with a protest song which turned him into a one-hit wonder.
