President Trump is serious about controlling spending before it happens.

This is an outstanding move.

They should be informed, with a summons to appear in court on charges of defrauding the country.

These cuts will weed out useless organizations. Surviving organizations will be leaner, and more efficient. Good stuff there.

But any money saved can easily be dwarfed by yet another huge Congressional deficit spending bill.

President Trump, please keep your veto pen handy.

Congress passes budgets.

President Trump spends actual cash.

Traditionally the government has spent every single dime that was budgeted to justify future higher Congressional budgets.

Those days are so over.

An outstanding move, yes, just who gets to approve grants using our money)
More importantly, is this (”JUST”) another deferred function that some unelected overpaid is doing anonymously.
Local level community action programs are a representation of how our money is handled by its trusties end of the line. A lot of favoritism, nepotism, waste, and reward for poor performance santa claused out by a paid director more waste of our money.

Paraphrasing Davy Crockett

“We have the right, as individuals, to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity; but as members of Congress we have no right so to appropriate a dollar of the public money. “

Federal politician’s have forgotten or choose to ignore whose money is funding these grants.

DOGE is reminding federal politicians, that the money is not theirs.

If these same federal Politicians feel this defunding is incorrect, let them open their own wallets to fund.
