he Department of Labor just revealed some SHOCKING numbers on fraud at the agency:
-25,000 people who are over 115 years old and have been collecting $59 million in payments.
-28,000 people between one and five years old have collected fraudulent payments in the amount of $254 million.
-10,000 people who have not been born yet, 15 years into the future, $69 million in payments.
-In one case, they will be born 129 years from now. The United States government sent them $41,000.
Eradicating fraud is a concept EVERYONE should be able to get behind.

ok... In you humble opinion, what’s your guesstimate? How long before we see something?
I’m looking at the bigger picture. with all the shit our side deals with, Partisan Judges, sell outs like Paul, the news media... shouldn’t we be throwing out trial balloons for incarcerations to see what kind a retaliatory strikes we’re gonna get from the other side? in another month we’re going to be 1 1/2 years away from mid terms. if we happen to lose seats, what are we gonna do??
If the tables were turned the jail houses would be full of people awaiting trials. Dems never cared if people were innocent or not. they threw them in jail to smear them. as well as what they did with Trump. This waiting game you all are gambling with is really dangerous.
I tend to agree with you, the majority of these are likely data errors on what otherwise might be legitimate recipients. The average payments to these people total between 2,500-10,000 Ea. Not exactly a get rich quick scheme.
I don’t think there is a one-size-fits-all for the time it takes to collect evidence damning enough to make an indictment and arrest that sticks possible-but it has to be seamless and inescapable to work. My dad was a LEO-a detective, so was my former SO, and my sibling is one-so all I know is what I’ve heard-it needs to be good enough evidence to present and be accepted by a DA to be able to get a successful arrest/indictment-and smart cops stay shut up about what they have found until the case is wrapped up too tight to escape, no matter who the person is/knows. To do otherwise is foolish and even unsafe...
I hope you change your mind when a year from now comes and there is still no one is arrested for anything...
Big assumption that someone fat fingered a birthday in a system that doesn’t do much in the way of edits is actually all fraud. some might be. Some people should stay away from computer forensics.
I have no idea IF anyone is being investigated and neither do you. No one has stated it. Simply tweeting look what we found is not synonymous.
More likely somebody born in 2003 and somebody typed in 2103 or something like that.>>> Most likely 99% fall into that category. To claim fraud indicates the person has no idea re computer forensics.
Almost all of these people would have been born in the 1900s. Typos of 2900s make sense. Typos in the 2100s or such would not be realistic. Or2000s typoed into 2100 or 2800, or 3000,sure since those keys are close. But turned into 1800s,or 2400s? Not very likely.
I do not think that is what is going to happen-I have some faith in the honest people in charge now-this isn’t FJB’s crew of criminals-many of them are already outed and gone and many more being herded to firing/resignation under pressure. Way too many of them were last-minute pardoned, but that just might go away, too-it will be open season then. Doubt it will take more than 6-10 months, if more corrupt judges are curbed by congress...
“Simply tweeting look what we found is not synonymous.”
Figures are from Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-Deremer today and it’s backed by a video at the link.
Its not “simply tweeting” by random people.
And Musk himself has mentioned investigations into these frauds.
Effective prosecutions cannot happen overnight.
Next?
“fat fingers” huh?
Joke post?
Did “fat fingers” pocket the money too?
Excuse me while I laugh.
I’m including all DOGE findings since Day 1.
I appreciate your viewpoint, I just disagree anyone will be held accountable.
I agree it takes time to bring a case.
I’d like nothing more than to eat crow.
HowTF does any of that get entered into the system and work?
It's time for some of these people to go to jail...
The 25,000 that are 115 years old or more, that is probably a family member who never reported a parent’s death and has kept cashing the checks and spending the money.
The bigger fraud is the single mom who never gets married, who gets the government to pay all her bills while the father of her children lives in the apartment with her. My understanding from people in NYC is that this has become a way of life. The father makes his money and shares it with the baby mamma. The luxury money for vacations and nice cars, while “Daddy Big Gov” provides the necessities of life.
By then James Tiberius Kirk should start receiving his benefits!!
