This is an unintentionally hilarious article.
I will give some more detail in my next post.

First of all go halfway down the article and look at the picture of the old time leftist with the shirt that says:
“College for all. Medicare for all. Jobs for all. Justice for all.”
Yeah—except for the “all” of us who have to pay the taxes to make all that stuff happen....
Lol.
Then there is this:
“her son works for a federal contractor. Her son called her recently and said he was directed to remove the word “equity” from his work. The story disturbed Emily, who is white and said her husband and children are Black.”
Enjoy!

They can’t be bothered to show up for work at the office, but they can show up to yell from overpasses.

The federal government directly employs one in 10 of the state’s workers, about 325,000 people. Enlightening.

Were they frustrated, because they were expected to work?

When I was younger, whenever we (my buds) would see a group of workers working inefficiently or stupidly or not at all, somebody would say, "Looks like a govt operation."
We had no idea how true that statement is.

Think about the psychology of this. Something bad has happened to me. I must complain to the world (could be daddy or authority figure) so everyone knows how unhappy I am, and they’ll change the situation for me.
Contrast every time I got laid off. Create a resume. Hit the phones to contact everyone in my network. Send out resumes. Only once when it was particularly egregious, and nasty did I contact a lawyer. He told me, “If you were black or female, I’d take this in a heartbeat. The government pays the bill, and the company will settle because they’re essentially fighting the government. But you’re a white male. Yes, what they did is illegal...actually downright nasty and damaging. You’ll pay my bills, and they’ll simply run you out of money.”
That’s the difference between the white male working world and the black/female/government working world. They’re shouting, “I’ve been unfairly treated, and YOU must do something about it.”

A tree trimming company was working in the neighborhood last week. I was driving by and rolled my window down and counted six men standing around one pickup truck. I asked them if it was government job. I said there is one guy down there in the front truck, is it his day to work? five of them started laughing, one started to get his feathers ruffled but he calmed down.
