Several officials in the department’s CIO shop who were not fired are taking the latest deferred resignation offer, meaning that the office is nearly cleared out, with only two of nine leadership roles permanently filled.

I wonder what they have to hide.
“Granting the administrative access to the payroll system — as sought by Musk’s associates — to anyone apart from a few in HR is highly unusual, one source told Nextgov/FCW, as the system stores sensitive information about feds across the government. A single mistake could cause “massive issues,” they noted.”
Yeah. Can’t give access to auditors to actually audit. It might cause “massive issues”. I’m surprised they don’t chain themselves to the mainframes.
MORE & MORE INTERESTING EACH & EVERY DAY.
Obama himself created the United States Digital Service to have access to ALL FEDERAL DATA SYSTEMS.
ALL.
Trump/Musk simply renamed it United States DOGE Service and repurposed it to find waste, fraud and theft.
Get with the program or get out of the way.
Roaches. Light.....
Don’t defy the DOGE Dog’s disquisition to de-fund Democrats!
My experience in working in state government and in the private sector trying to interface with the federal government is that the disparity between private sector IT & IS (which is rather dynamic) and government IT & IS (which is very static) is so large as to lead to complete frustration. The government emphasizes seniority, and by the time someone is senior enough to lead in that environment, they have very little current hands-on knowledge. My guess is the senior IT/IS folks in government are very threatened by the fact that some very young, very bright, and very adept private sector folks are about to come in and tell them what time it is, very quickly.
Some conspiracy sites claim that there are unacknowledged deep underground military bases beneath lands controlled by the Department of the Interior.
Perhaps that is part of it..
Tracking invoices could get interesting....
What is funny is that all these government employees who are so against DOGE having access to such “sensitive” personal information because they could change something, are really likely democrats who, if the positions were reversed, would in fact delete data and change data to hurt Republican citizens.
Must be pretty bad if be willing to give up your job over it.
“roaches. light”. beer. rug...
I want to know what happened the Department of Exterior...
That sounds a bit far-fetched.
The cockroaches are scattered by light.
Yep.
Sasquatch is actually a four-star general in the U.S. Army. Went through Ranger school and everything, and earned props as a sniper.
Chupacabra and the Windego, by contrast — those are robotic, and used for psy ops.
Ya heard it here, first.
that's pretty much been proved by satellite-based super-duper ground penetrating laser beams ...
there's even pictures of what they found:
Total corruption.
It seems to me that the demo-commies have buried money pipes in all the cracks and crevices of the federal government so they could steal us blind and fund their takeover of the Republic. That’s why these clowns are so ‘resistant’ to being audited and come up with these lame reasons.
Clean it up. More heads at Interior need to roll.
