If they are illegal, then they should be deported.

Perhaps with illegal shortages, the farmers will raise pay so that Americans and legal immigrants will consider farm work. Working conditions improve if there isn’t a line of replacements for a poor conditions workplace.

A lot of them are from Central American countries not Mexico. Mexico has its own set of immigration standards. They don’t let everyone stay either.

Migrant farm worker employers can get a permit for them to come to America and work for the harvest season of whichever farm has hired them. After the job is done, they return to Mexico. If the employer applied for and received that permit and the migrants are working a harvest then they will not be deported.

“For farms needing temporary, seasonal labor, the H-2A visa program allows employers to hire foreign workers for agricultural jobs, requiring employers to provide housing, transportation, and a guaranteed number of work hours”

WHEN THEY DO NOT RETURN-—THEY BECOME A HUGE PROBLEM FOR THE LOCALS. IIRC—FRESNO WAS USING OVER 60% OF THEIR WELFARE $$$$ TO TRY & SUPPORT THEM IN THE “off’ SEASON.

We had visas for migrant farm workers (I assume we still do). Those people are here legally and have nothing to worry about

The farmers might want to get some permanent toilets, sinks and lots of soap so we won’t have so many recalls and illnesses.

If illegals are afraid because they're breaking USA law maybe they should go home.

And the farmers? They can push for laws that allow a certain number of foreign farm workers to work DURING SEASON TO PICK THE CROPS, THEN GO HOME.

Now farmers hire foreign workers during season then farmers dump them on the American taxpayer's welfare system. AND WE PAY FOR THEM. That has to stop.

Or the friggin farmers can hire AND pay them for the full year. Best solution? Crop season card and proof the worker has returned home at the end of the season.

All they have to do is get workers through the H2A program. Been doing it in Washington State for 20 years. It is inconvenient and more costly, but the crops get picked. Plus, the workers are accounted for. If they misbehave and don't follow the rules, they are sent back and no longer are eligible to come back to work.

In addition, they are vetted on both sides of the border before they can come in to work.
