I’m still shocked she got as far as she did.

She, for once, is correct. She’s going nowhere. Or anywhere.

She never was.

Hopefully, she’ll be sidelined by the democrats, but I’m not sure of them being able to see what a liability she is.

This is the only kind of election she can win... one where a ham sandwich would win as long as it has a D beside its name.

However, recent polling shows nearly 1/2 of California’s voters would consider voting for a republican. So Kamala due to name recognition would likely win the democrat primary, and odds would still be in favor that the D whoever it is will win the governorship.... Things in CA are so bad that they are at a tipping point, and there are still 18 months until election day, so while unlikely its not impossible that she could lose the actual general election.

There is little doubt that if she runs, she will likely not face any kind of competition in the Dem primary and likely win that handily.

She’ll win the primary easily, with her name recognition etc... SHe’s polling ungodly high with CA D Primary voters... no serious challenger will waste their time trying to take her out in the primary.... She runs, she’ll almost certainly be their nominee.

However, polling does show that nearly 1/2 of CA voters would consider voting for a Republican for Governor, because California has gotten that bad... So, while odds would still be that the Dem whoever it is will win the general, if that trend continues, it is possible that she would lose the General... There are still 18 months until the general election and California’s direction is certainly not going up.

We shall see.

FIFY: “I’m not going anywhere,” Harris said during her nearly 8-minute speech sentence.

California does not have individual party primaries anymore.

In the primary, all candidates, regardless of party, are on the ballot. Then the top two candidates in the primary election, regardless of party , advance to the general election.

According to recent polls, she is far ahead of other Democratic candidates. So she would have an excellent chance of being one of the top 2 to move to the general election.

If the general election is between a Democrat and a Republican, meaning a Republican is one of the top two in the primary, all those Democrats who voted for others in the primary would surely vote for Kamala in the general election.
