EUGENE, Ore. — Conservation groups across Oregon have won a lawsuit against the Bureau of Land Management’s logging plans.

On Monday, a federal judge ruled that the BLM had illegally authorized the logging of old-growth forest lands within protected areas called late successional reserves....

...The court pointed out that logging in these reserves would increase fire hazards and harm nearby habitats....

as a former usfs and blm silviculturist id like to point out to the ecocommies ....

...that trees are not immortal.

tress, all trees , even old growth trees die.

but their goals have nothing to do with trees.

they dont give a rip about trees or critters and their habitats.

their actions interfere with a forests natural life cycles and the critters that rely on those cycles.

they just hate capitalism and people and our nation.

they are just Cloward–Piven strategy brownshirts.

This is the same mentality that turned California into a tinderbox.

Simply conscript the Oregon conservationists to fight the next fire.

Long before they get dropped into the smoke, they'll vigorously agree to harvesting trees.

They can have all the opinions they want but the solution still stands.

A California conservationist caused the LA fire by stopping the maintenence of a power line fire break because of a common weed.
Stupid is as stupid does.

They didn’t like the descriptive term environmental nazi so they changed their name to conservation groups.

They are still environmental nazis.

logging in these reserves would increase fire hazards

This is a flat out lie. Not logging, and not clearing brush is what causes wildfires...

It took me a minute to figure out that Black Lives Matter didn’t have anything to do with the logging issue

“....that trees are not immortal.

Yep, to sequester much of the carbon “captured” by the tree, it’s likely best to mill it up into lumber rather than let it rot on the forest floor.

just to amplify how duplicitous they are,,,

there are thousands of acres of old growth trees in every National Park and Wilderness Areas, where no logging , that im aware of , has ever taken place since they were created. thousands of acres were there have never even been any roads. no, what they are after is MONEY. they, and their commie infiltrators in the usfs, usf&wl and blm do the suit tango. the commies sue, the infiltrated commies fight them till the commies have a big legal bill, then the fed commie caves, settles out of court, and then the fed pays the ecocommies legal fees. big big big tango $$$$ for the commies.

DEFINE OLD GROWTH

DOUGLAS FIR-—THE MOST USED TREE FOR FRAMING, etc., isn’t ready to harvest until about 30 years old.

IT ages very rapidly after that. USELESS by age 35.
