Just before Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) started their ongoing series of rallies against Elon Musk and President Donald Trump, Sanders stopped by Face the Nation on CBS and hilariously exclaimed in feigned outrage: “We’re looking at a rapid growth of oligarchy. We’re looking at a rapid growth of authoritarianism. And I fear that we’re looking at a rapid growth of kleptocracy as well. And I’m going to do everything I can to work with my supporters all over this country to stand up and fight back to make sure we have an economy that works for everybody, not just Elon Musk.”
All I could do is laugh, as Bernie Sanders specifically and the other Democrats generally are the ones who made the economy work so well for Elon Musk.
The $465 million Energy Department loan under President Barack Obama that saved Tesla from bankruptcy in 2010 emerged from the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, which was adopted because Bernie Sanders and all the Democrats in the Senate voted for it (except Debbie Stabenow and a half-dozen conservative Republicans). Further, Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (which all the Senate Democrats voted for, including Bernie Sanders) included the $7500/EV subsidy that put $1.5 billion in Elon’s wallet. Nearly all Republicans voted against it.

Dear Comrades
“We’re looking at a rapid growth of oligarchy. We’re looking at a rapid growth of authoritarianism.
Socialist Sanders bragging about the actions of his party.
“Yeah, but I gotta be the oligarch!”
Good article. I have to admit that the following stings a little:
“Trump and his cabinet are all 2004 Democrats, with a Kennedy in charge of the world’s largest welfare agency and no mandate to cut even a dime of welfare spending. That’s what the “conservative” Republican Party has become. America has a uniparty, and the media wants to make us choose either the Party of Caesar or the Party of Pompey, but both are on the same path to centralization of power in Washington.”
I’m not buying that. However, welfare should be examined. If not now, then later.
Most authoritarian regimes consolidate power. Trump is giving power back to the people as in administrating Education at the state level. During his last term, he sent BLM offices to Colorado and Ag offices to Kansas City, closer to the people away from DC.
Welfare is be examined illegals can attest to it and many others the had loop holes for it.
Less then 90 days on the job Trump and company are going after the corrupt operations it’s why they are bitching so much about Musk.
Sanders rails against kleptocracy - he, who obtained his $10 million+ net worth that he acquired on the salary of a public servant. That’s rich.
Notice how the media studiously ignores this self-avowed Socialist’s wealth (and hypocrisy).
This is so rich coming from a shriveled up clown who spent his honeymoon, of all places in Stalin’s Soviet Union. He’s been a Marxist sycophant ever since. Laughable!
Trump knows how much strain the American ‘body politic’ can bear; that’s his unique genius. The welfare mentality has been groomed into the American mind over generations. Wisdom would recall the teaching of Jesus about putting new wine in an old wineskin; (the old wineskin would burst and you would lose both the wineskin and the wine.) hence, he is slow walking this particular transition. The real question is this: are there enough men of wisdom left in America to teach the people why this work must be done, and that they must be willing to walk through the fire to get it done. “Wisdom is justified of her children”. -Luke 7:35
True enough. All indications are that Trump and his team are reducing the Federal government in dollars, people, and mission (for the most part).
Geopolitically, he is pulling back somewhat from Europe. With his American emphasis, he seems to be looking northward (Arctic, Canada, Greenland) and toward the Panama Canal. Perhaps the Americas (North and South) will get renewed attention someday, similar to the Monroe doctrine.
I thought Bernie liked authoritarianism — it’s just a question of who is in authority.
IIRC-—MUSK PAID BACK EVERY PENNY-—EARLY-—WITH EVERY CENT OF INTEREST.
“We’re looking at the rapid growth of oligarchy!” I’m sorry! Nobody can be that stupid, can they? Again, he can’t possible be that stupid, so he must know that he is absolutely lying to the American people. This greatest ‘rapid growth of Oligarchy” in human history happened when the centralized socialist government of the USSR collapsed in the early 1990s. It was predicted by Von Mises as far back as the 1920’s and it is the ineluctable and inescapable end of all ersatz Leftist ‘revolutions’. The centralized socialist economy collapsed under the weight of its own moral rot, and the wolfhounds of greed devoured the carcass and gobbled up all the assets. Presto: instant oligarchy. What Trump and Musk are doing is Decentralizing: they are dismantling the centralization of power so that what happened in the soviet Union can Never happen here! That’s what’s so disgusting and infuriating about Sanders and his media lackies. “Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; or close up the wall with our English dead.” - Henry V

No, your thread's title isn't any more deserving of attention that anybody else's. Mind your manners.
