White House to Take Over Seating in Press Briefing Room in Another Blow to Far-Left White House Correspondents’ Association

he White House reportedly has plans to take over the seating chart in the briefing room, a power once held by the far-left White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA).

Currently, the seating arrangement is controlled by the WHCA, and conservative outlets like The Gateway Pundit, One America News Network, and Real America’s Voice are pushed to the sides of the room where we can only hope to catch the press secretary’s eye for a question.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced last month that the WHCA will no longer hold its iron grip over deciding which outlets get to participate in the coveted White House press pool and cover more intimate areas in the White House. Since then, Leavitt has introduced a New Media rotation for pool reporters to cover the President in the Oval Office, on Air Force One, and other spaces where only a limited number of reporters can access.

Now, the White House is expected to expand the New Media pool to the White House briefing room seats.

“This administration is shaking up Washington in more ways than one,” Leavitt said previously, noting, “that’s what we were elected to do.”

This comes after the Associated Press asked a federal judge to grant an emergency Temporary Restraining Order against the Trump Administration and restore its access to areas in the White House after the far-left outlet was booted from the Oval Office this month over its refusal to acknowledge President Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.”

A federal judge later denied the Associated Press’s emergency motion to restore its access to the White House press pool. The Associated Press had a second hearing Thursday, where they again asked for reinstatement to the press pool. U.S. District Court Judge Trevor N. McFadden, a Trump appointee, has not made a decision in the case.

Per Axios,

Discussing the coming seating chart, the senior White House official said plans have already been formalized for a "fundamental restructuring of the briefing room, based on metrics more reflective of how media is consumed today."

The new layout will include representatives of TV, print and digital outlets. The digital assignments will include both online influencers and newer organizations such as Axios, NOTUS and Punchbowl. "The goal isn't merely favorable coverage," said the official, who was granted anonymity to discuss plans that haven't been announced. "It's truly an honest look at consumption [of the outlets' coverage]. Influencers are important but it's tough because they aren't [equipped to provide] consistent coverage. So the ability to cover the White House is part of the metrics."

Major legacy outlets will still be included. But expect some to have diminished visibility compared with their customary spots in the first few rows. "We want to balance disruption with responsibility," the official said. This is a developing story.

President Trump: Don't hold that stupid party. You know what they are going to do. You must punish them. Don't give them a chance for them to be, well, them.

DemonRAT insurrectionists should not be allowed anywhere near the White House.

Wait a minute... You mean it’s not going to be a round robin of dissent and derision anymore?

Just to mess with the pinheads, Trump should install a bunch of small chairs designed for toddlers.

Better yet, high chairs. Bibs included.

Sadly, Dubya was a mistake. Always controlled by CIA operative 41 and Kennedy wannabe Barbara Bush.

Wil our own Kristinn get an invite?
Yes, I know he draws a paycheck from GP now but, his getting an invite from Leavitt would bring some cheer here.

Leavitt should begin each press conference with the “reporter” who wants to ask me a question about egg prices, gets the first question and then a follow up.

Additionally any mention of cost savings from wasteful or fraudulent govt program should mention savings then put a face on that savings by telling how many average taxpayers it took to fund this program, and add something like that would take all the taxpayers taxes from city X

We want to balance disruption with responsibility.

Good luck with that for the most part they don’t report what they see or hear they have an agenda that’s pro left.

Maybe there’ll be more than one alt media rep — and those multiple reps will get to sit down!

I’d love to see the MSM all seated to the back or unseated, of course.

Rush would have to have sent Snerdley, he was to far ahead of the press and busy. I wish he was here to see this now. I miss the hell out of his opining on this kind of crap.

Amen on missing his input but Rush had the unique ability to watch, analyze and respond to information. He would already know or anticipate the answer to most questions.

Just have a consistent rotation. At each briefing everyone moves to the seat left of where they were last time. Next briefing, do the same. A bit like musical chairs

If I was in charge, I would totally do this. Also, no chairs, everyone sits criss-cross-applesauce! Treat them like the kindergarteners 90% of them are

Freedom of the press isn’t freedom to control others.

No reporter has a right to even ve there or on AF One.

Pay for your own plane.
