Oh, yeah? How about after the disastrous congressional committee hearing yesterday? (not that I trust the survey results to begin with).

So, no decision has been made yet? This does not need to be open to a drawn out public debate, based on nostalgia or what some celebrities are saying on Tik Tok. JUST DO IT, while the GOP has the majority. No more lollygagging!

The funding structures for NPR and PBS are complicated,

"Complicated"? Yes, they have NGOs collect taxpayer handouts, then they kick back a large percentage of that to PBS and NPS. It's still a shell game with OUR money, all to present highly biased and slanted information.

And most of the 43% in favor are only voting for Sesame Street, which is actually private, and not owned by PBS, and not in danger of ceasing because of a lack of taxpayer money.

Americans more likely to think Pew is a funny name for a poll.

I watch PBS, including, on occasion, “The Slavery Guilt Show” aka “Finding Your Roots.” If I donate, it is because of the shows I like... *both of them. Why do those networks take tax dollars and still ask for donations?

*the others are sewing shows

Sesame Street is a licensing cash cow what with all of the Elmo crap.
And PBS does have commercials...better known as “grants”

“43% say NPR and PBS should continue to receive funding from the federal government”

That 43% should open their eyes and review the new DOGE findings. They need to think how our $36 TRILLION debt happened.

Funding for NPR and PBS is no different than:
♦︎ $10M for “gender equity in the Mexican workplace.”
♦︎ $12.2M for “worker empowerment in South America.’”
♦︎ $6.25M for “improving respect for Worker’s rights in agricultural supply chains” in Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador
♦︎ $5M for “elevating women’s participation in the workplace” in West Africa
♦︎ $4.3M for “assisting foreign migrant workers” in Malaysia.”
♦︎ $3M to “enhance social security access and worker protections for internal migrant workers” in Bangladesh
♦︎ $3M for “safe and inclusive work environments” in Lesotho.”

Don’t believe polls. Less than 2% of people opt to answer them.

Here is the question that should be asked: “Do you think funding for these groups is so important that the country should go further in debt in order to send them that money?”

Newsflash Pew...Congress will decide this with the People’s best interest at heart as it is all too apparent that many of the People, even some IN Congress, CLEARLY haven’t got a CLUE.

Between "No" and "Not sure," a majority of our countrymen are not interested in funding the Red-Homo-Treehugger-God-hating chatterboxes.

We have our answer: Cut the umbilical cable on the Commie poofters. Anything good they produce can be done elsewhere at a modest profit. The talent will appreciate the raise.

why? a lot of the countryzis still brainwashed. We didn’t win by 20 million votes, even though one of the biggest issues was men wearing dresses into ladies rooms!!

that’s scary.

"20% of U.S. adults say they regularly get news from NPR, and 21% say the same about PBS."

That's equivalent to saying they regularly get their news from used toilet paper.
