DOGE insider Sam Corcos, special adviser to the U.S. Treasury Department, just unloaded a jaw-dropping exposé on the IRS and Treasury’s chaotic operations.

He’s pulling the mask off, and it’s wild.

1]. IRS’ Massive IT Dept. Outstrips Midsize Banks by 175x Budget and 40x Staff

“A typical midsize bank will have somewhere between 1 and 200 people in IT and they have an operations and maintenance budget in like the $20 million a year range. We have 8,000 people in IT, and our operations and maintenance budget is $3.5 billion a year. I don’t really know why yet.”

2]. Contractors Eat Up 80% of IRS’ Massive Operations Budget

“I will tell that you 80% of that budget goes to contractors and licenses——We cannot perform the basic functions of tax collection without paying a toll to all these contractors.”

3]. IRS’ Modernization Is a $3.7 Billion Money Pit

“We have a $3.5 billion operations maintenance budget. We have $3.7 billion modernization effort within it. That’s a lot of budget and way beyond any reasonable cost for what you would expect at a private company for this.”

4]. Ghost Contracts Bleed Millions With No Accountability

“You find contracts that are 10, 20, 30, $50 million and you just ask like, why are we doing this? And everyone’s just like, meh, I don’t know. And then you cancel it and then nothing happens. It’s just inertia, has just taken over.”

Just what we all expected to see. I’m certainly not surprised.

Once again the left will take the 10% side of a 90-10 issue. Leave the IRS alone!

In before a federal judge rules that we must keep paying the ghost contractors.

He did say that there are employees that are happy about what is happening and are relieved that they can finally come out of the dark and get something done. he says he is getting a lot of co operation moving forward. Hopefully this is true and their intensions are good

Once upon a time, I had a job as a telecom analyst and the first thing I did was audit every single phone bill that came in to see whether or not it was justified.

I found hundreds of thousands of dollars going out to pay bills, but couldn’t find any reason for it.

My solution was to turn them off (saving money) and see who yelped.

Strangely, no one did...

Same concept here...

Just think, DOGE has barely touched where the biggest fraud is happening, Defense Department, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, all probably dwarf what is happening at the IRS.

If properly managed, you could cut 25-30% or more from the Defense Department and not affect the combat readiness.

Simple fix.

3x5 notecard with your name, ssn

gross income x 0.08= taxes owed.

No deductions. Everyone pays.

The Uniparty obviously stole the 2020 election: Democrats bragged Puppet Sleepy Joe was "the most popular pResident in American history 'winning' 81 Million votes!" The Uniparty also planned to steal the 2024 election, but there was one problem: Their 2020 stolen election's result was a Puppet pResident.

In 2020, everyone knew Dementia Joe couldn't make it through the first month, let alone four years, so Democrat handlers would have to "manage" Dementia Joe. To steal the 2020 election, Democrats needed help from RINOs. Enter the RINO "Lincoln Project," founded by Rick Wilson. Wilson helped run the campaign of RINO George H.W. Bush and Wilson was also a huge supporter of RINO George W. Bush. Wilson formed the "Lincoln Project" to destroy President Trump. RINO Wilson has publicly and proudly admitted he personally has "no morals." Way to pick your friends, Bush family! Wilson insists Musk and Trump want to "ruin" America.

In 2015, RINO Wilson publicly said the "donor class" should "put a bullet in Donald Trump." Wilson often brags that he "forces" American corporations to "tuck tail." RINO Wilson recently posted a Substack article in which he says, "Kill Tesla ... Elon has a weak spot. Attack." Wilson calls Tesla a "goose-stepping" "fascist" automaker that makes "alt-Reich" vehicles which Wilson will "carve" up. Wilson advises everyone to help "break Tesla's stock." Wilson also says, "Tesla is about to learn" and he advises, "Break Tesla, break Elon. Break Elon, break Trump." Wilson says all Democrats should "very publicly protest" (wink-wink, "peacefully," wink-wink) at all Tesla dealerships: Wilson says nobody will buy a Tesla if all its dealerships are "ringed" by Democrat protesters screaming Musk is a "Nazi." Wilson also advises that people file "lawsuits" against Tesla. Wilson highly recommends that Americans "buy" a Communist China-made "BYD" car instead of an American-made Tesla. Buy Communist! Wilson concludes: "We" must "tear down" Tesla.

All Democrats agree with Wilson and joined his anti-Tesla crusade. Potential 2028 Democrat Presidential candidate, Gov. Tampon Tim Walz (D-MN), gives speeches in which he giddily tells his Democrat audiences that he gets "a lift" every day watching the American automaker Tesla's stock plunging to "$225 and dropping!" (His Democrat crowd wildly cheers.)

"Break Tesla, break Elon, ... break Trump."

That's the Democrats' mission.

“ Once upon a time, I had a job as a telecom analyst and the first thing I did was audit every single phone bill that came in to see whether or not it was justified.”

Way back in the day I did that for a small regional airport in Illinois. I found they were paying for over 100 phone (POTS) lines they weren’t using. Over half of them were for buildings that had been torn down to expand the runways.

Thousands of dollars a month were being paid to the phone company for lines that had literally been torn out of the ground years earlier.

In the cable tv industry back in the day we had the same approach.

We would just shut off apartment complexes at the pole and see who called.

Often it turned out more than half of the complex was stealing service—and those units were just not connected again.

Then we would have to audit the connection box inside the building weekly to make sure somebody did not hook themselves up—once we knew we had a “bad building”.

Same concept, but we are hearing the yelping. Watch how they file lawsuits and vote on the reconciliation bill.

“And then you cancel it and then nothing happens.”

It is going to private individual banking accounts. The government is so big the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing and it is like opening the door to the hen house for predators to enter.

The telephone numbers that we found that were no longer used were for modems tied to systems that were communicating only with each other. As systems were upgraded to web-based, the technicians for the new systems swapped out the old computers and boxed up the modems and wiring.

Many of the users didn't even know about the previous modem arrangement (nor cared) and since their systems were working, never thought to cancel the phone service.

What was missing from the project plan was the review where as each computer was replaced with one that had the upgraded software, someone should have been coordinating the discontinuance of the phone number it was assigned to.

The other situation where we found orphaned phone lines was in emergency management. "Oh yeah, I pulled out an old list. Those numbers were for that disbanded situation response team in case the landlines went down. You know, I think those phones are still in the chargers in the ready room."

I think you are partially correct—but I suspect that there are also many who are quietly slinking off hoping they never get investigated....

” ... My solution was to turn them off (saving money) and see who yelped ...”

A friend who was an independent telecom consultant back in the 70s almost always found savings for companies by simply turning off the phones after business hours and weekends. He pocketed 10% of the company’s monthly savings.

The US body politic has 10,000 leeches draining it’s life blood and that life blood is taxpayer money given to the consultant class which are the leeches.

One of my favorite finds were charges to rent desk phones. In one case they’d been paying for a couple of bucks a month to rent 40 or so phones since the 1960s.
